I have heard people talk about Database
administration.Sometime i ask my self what is
the future of a database administrator in
Nigeria.In recent time Oracle lunched Oracle 12c
which is a cloud computing trying to outdate
11grid. Please Someone with OCA or have gone
through Oracle programme,What is their future
like in IT world expecially in Nigeria.Advice

Its hard to say but the bitter truth is that it is utterly useless...economically speaking.
Most big companies use cheaper open-source solutions, and
we do not yet have that tech-community i.e technology is not yet a way
of life in Nigeria so people are not adopting it.
when people don't adopt it, then they don't need an administrator,
when the don't need administrator, you don't have a job
when you don't have a job, you cant make the bills
when you can't make the bills, your certificate is useless.
That's the sad truth, i would advise you pickup skill in web develpment
like learn HTML,CSS, javascript and PHP
i guarantee you will see the jobs pouring in.

Get java certs also (programming)
and other db certs: ms sql server,
mysql . In other words, diversify ur skill set. Increase ur (percieved) value.
