He recently was rated as the 36th. "Most powerful celebrity
in Africa" according to Forbes. He does many things (like giving his followers money etc) to stay relevant and trend on social network, this gesture has drastically increased his followers (Over 80 percent of them are following him because they want to be a part of his 'money jamboree' so we can say he bought them with money. He is not a good musician at all. argue that he is not a musician but his voice is on atleast 14 songs since 2004. Though he is arguably the best producer in Nigeria but we have several other good producers that should he decide to stop music production today he wont be missed at all. His source of money to me remains very sketchy (he had no endorsement until very recently when loyal milk and Mtn signed him) because the only marketable artist in MAVINS is Tiwa Savage (though his new signings are promising) he has spent more money than profit on all his artists except Tiwa who was already a superstar before joining MAVIN (I was even discussing with a friend then that Tiwa should have formed her own record label instead of signing under MAVINS that had Wande Coal, Dr Sid and D'Prince. suggested the name 'WATOPE RECORDS' tiwaTOPE ....he would tell you he is into oil and gas and all that but his MAVIN OIL is just like another facebook company (Everybody is a C.E.O on facebook) me which Don Jazzy is a good beat maker but his prowess is by far overrated.
