I've never met or known Linda Ikeji, but from what I've read about her she seems the type of person that defiled all the odds and made it big time as a blogger in this present Generation. Few days ago she blogged about the battle which was raging due to her dominance of the blogging scene and accusations of plagiarism, an act which most online media houses is known for.

No doubt someone of her popularity and riches would encounter such an attack because someone somewhere feels the hurt, by her success or making something out of nothing.

The guy who is leading the attack, what is he known for?
has he built any solid reputation or business that is well patronised?
how much money has he made from blogging since he started his venture?

well cut the long story short, this is a typical example of life. When you work hard to make it, there are always people looking to sabotage
you every effort. Its our duty along the way to map out who these folks are, and if we dnt stop them before they grow larger, they may eventually bring us to our knees.

One lesson one can take home from this incident is, Never trust anyone and always watch your back.

A lot of Nigerians really need a total re-orientation in life. It is really disheartening the way a lot of people keep painting the other 'unknown' blogger as the evil guy in this saga even when the facts are very clear for all to see. Why can't some people just sit down and think with their brains?

All because the guy has no money or fame so therefore he has no right to fight for his right?... This guy has been so demonized by Nigerians all over the world for being bold enough to fight and protect his meagre income which is being illegally swept away by bigger bloggers without apology. What is really wrong with the sense of judgement of some Nigerians?

When you take and wrongfully use other people's hard work to put money in your own pocket without their permission and consent, you are sabotaging their food too.

You people really need to get off this crooked, corrupt mentality and pedestrian rubbish? You people are so selfish, self centered and self absorbed . You don't think about other people and their daily bread, all you think about is what you can get away with unchallenged.

The fact that you Nigerians get away with your fraudulent and corrupt ways in Nigeria doesn't mean outsiders are obligated to tolerate your crookedness..

Almost all bloggers in Nigeria do copy and paste. Linda herself did not even deny copying, all she came up with as her defence was that "everybody does it." So I don't know what other proof you are still looking for

Now let me give you a simple analogy. If there is a breaking news and there are 2 blogs reporting the news, which blog would you click?
1) 'unknown' blog
2) LindaIkeji blog

I am sure we all know which blog you and I will click. In fact it would be assumed that the other poor hungry bloggers are the ones copying Linda's stories. The effect of this is that if there are 1 million people reading that breaking news, over 999,900 would rather read the news on LindaIkeji's blog instead of the unknown, unverified blog. Do you know what that means?.. it literally means that the only plate of food owned by the poor blogger was taken away by the bigger blogger (who already has several warehouses filled with food). This case typically reminds me of the story of king David in the bible taking away his poor neighbour's single lamb and preparing peppersoup for his guest. When the poor neigbour complained, he was killed (just like Nigerians are presently murdering the 'unknown' blogger for daring to complain).

Now the right thing to do would have been to simply fix a tiny microscopic and even hardly visible inscription at the bottom of the story saying, "culled from bla bla bla.com" By acknowledging the other blogger, the big blogger would still take over 999,000 of the visitors but at least a few hundred people would decide to just open the smaller blogger's site at their spare time to see what he has and that would mean a win-win situation for both parties.
