Have spent much on getting games on my ps4 still I can't use my own console as primary own coz the games are downloaded from another account. So it's hard for me to play online games last time I did that all my games where locked I have to pay 18k to collect 5 games so I can't connect online now

I greet una o! Mighty men!
I'm seriously having a bad experience with my ps3 console(fat) right nw.it turns off abruptly, blinking red light. It's been on for a while, it jst got worst last night, I can hardly complete an exhibition match on Fifa 16, talk less of trying an adventure game. I downloaded my games though. Please I need anybody with a possible lasting solution and if you've experienced such before, kindly share your thoughts on hw to go about it. I'm based in Lagos btw. Thanks y'all in anticipation.

Typically a overheating issue. Good starting point is giving it a good clean out (will need opening to clean out dust build up) and use in a well ventilated spot.

i tried to open it some time ago but got discouraged seeing the delicate nature of it. You think there's less risk of damaging the interior?

To lower the risk of damage use a compressed air can.

thanks bro, I successfully opened and dusted it. The real ish is where to get thermal paste to replace the wiped one on the heat sink and the cost price. I coupled it back and tried putting it on, it worked buh the fan became so loud that the game had to shut down itself. Have you tried any other substitute? (Is toothpaste cool). Hope to hear your professional advice.

I've tried toothpaste (colgate mint paste not the gel version) and petroleum jelly before with pretty good results. However it is not recommended for long-term use . I used 75% toothpaste and 25% vaseline as that seemed to gave the best test results..BUT THIS IS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION max 36HRS.

Get some proper thermal paste asap. Where are you based?

PC games do not have region locks like DVD games do (PS4 etc). I found a region-specific game only once in my gaming history and it was like 6-7 years ago. The solution was simple - change the regional settings of your computer to whatever country you got the game from and it will install. After installation, you can switch back your regional settings to your country and there will be no trouble.

Patches updates are region specific though...

Back up. All PS3 & PS4 game discs are regionless. And, you do gave limits with your changing your PC region for your games & DVDs. It's not unlimited.

I'm not sure about that but I'm know a few who use PayPal with a VPN. It's better not to put your card details online; lowers the risk of having details stolen.

Back up? If you mean

1. Buy a hard copy and install on your machine, you still need the regional DVD which will also require one to insert the disc before gameplay

2. Download from PSN, that will also lock you to a region.

3.Hack your PS3 and download illegal copies off the Internet - that supports piracy.

But PC gaming region settings is easily changed in settings allowing you to buy and from any region (subject to having the right tool -VPN)
