What Are Your Expectations?

The previous installment, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, was a breath of much needed fresh air to the increasingly repetitive franchise. Do you think Ubisoft will continue with this new found renaissance or crash and burn?

Meh...I was looking forward to this and Rogue but Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor has spoilt me. Maybe I'll check it out. Unity is the one set in Paris?

What sort of systems do you guys have? The MINIMUM specs for Unity state a gtx680 not m, desktop class. That's insane! Thought I'd be able to manage my i7-4700hq and 750m for a while but at this rate, I'll need to build a desktop with at least a gtx970 soon.

I saw the minimum specs last week. Those minimum specs are not absolute plus I think they'll probably release an optimization patch a few weeks in. If they don't then I'm skipping unity and getting rogue for my ps3 cos my pc rig is nowhere near powerful enough. Besides, screw AC. Hail DA: Inquisition and The Witcher 3.

Ubisoft are not to be trifled with. Reports of unoptimization of their last few games are numerous especially Watch Dogs. I don't have much time to game plus I have a lengthy backlog of games I can currently run that I haven't played, so i'll hold out a bit. But this new trend of excessive requirements for games is very annoying.

I guess we'll have to see when it comes out. I was able to run (and enjoy) black flag but it really stretched my gpu. I think that's where my laptop draws the line. And yeah, I don't get to game so much anymore either, writing this from my job at a bank. Still have to platinum shadow of mordor, complete tales of xillia 2 and start Final Fantasy: Lightning Returns.

I was waiting for more thoughts on the subject. The AC games can become rather repetitive. Personally, I enjoyed the original AC game, it was the reason why I got [then] next gen console (Xbox 360), this was around the time I worked as a cashier in HMV and I used to play it on my break. It and Gears of War were my first Xbox games.

But, by the time Revelations came out, I grew bored with it and didn't finish it, AC III also suffered the same fate. Until, the jazz that happened when I bought the Buccaneer Edition of AC IV on a whim and was hooked. I simply haven't finished this due to taking a break from it and life in general.

So, I've some mixed emotions that Ubisoft might mess up a good thing in order for multiplayer/co-op style gaming.

Played through A.C1 and A.C 4: Black flag. Had revelations and A.C3 but I just can't get into them. Bought Liberation on my vita but I haven't gotten around to it and the reviews are pretty average anyway. I don't intend to switch to current gen yet and my laptop isn't powerful enough so I'm only going to play rogue. But y'all let me know how it goes.

So this is out now (almost everywhere, UK's tomorrow & Japan's next week). Anyone played this yet?

AC3 is really boring...I have liberation on my pc it's a wonderful game...I love it. I haven't finished any AC game yet tho cos jux like cao I find dem repetitive afte a while.

AC is one of those games, where you can come back to it after a long period of time and get back into the swing of it. For instance, I can't try that with Tomb Raider or Prince of Persia, I'd have to start again.
