The seductress... The betrayer... Anything and
everything evil that could pull down an emerging male Icon has been made synonymous to that name.
Yet in DELILAH, i see a great woman who painfully lost
out on GREED.

SAMSON, ordained from the womb as the anointed
one. The task of deliverance of the Sons of Isreal was well laden on his shoulders.

His RESPONSIBILITY brought him to the lime-light... His ANOINTING brought him fame... His presence sent chills of terror running down the spines of his nations sworn enemies- The Phillistines. He was the centre of ATTRACTION!

Whenever he passed, i would expect the chants of
SAMSOM! SAMSON!! SAMSON!!! Rending the air... It
was easy to see he was loved. A vain love that spured from what he would bring to them.
Leaders have stories similar to Samson's. They are
sorounded by all and sundry... Those chanting his
praise, composing love songs... All they see and are
attracted to is the GLORY on him.

They fail to see the MAN behind it all.
A deep enquiry would reveal that after a major
breakthrough, with everyone rejoicing... The leader
recoils in solitude often feeling 'alone'... He has come to understand that most people hardly communicate with him on the level of being MAN, but on the level of what he OFFERS.

Samson shared in this fate. He had no place for REST, no place to enjoy life, no place to hide from his REPUTATION... Until he found it in a WOMAN down at the valley of Sorek.

A Woman who walked passed his reputation to touch the weary soul of mighty Samson... What no Daughter of Zion could do!

Delilah wasn't a Prostitute... She only knew how to
LOVE, and thus the Bible puts it "...he loved a woman... Whose name was delilah" Judg16:4.

Unfortunately, her impoverished background offered a tempting offer to forsake her love which she couldn't resist... We know the rest of the story.

For this same course, Jesus had his close friends...
Lazarus and Co, where he could wind-up from the
pressures of the crowd.

As your GREATNESS emerges... Don't forget those who knew your start-up days. Those who you dragged and laugh over the bony 'head of fish' as you ate...
Those who you cracked sily jokes when you guys had nothing doing...

Within that clique lies your true HAPPINESS... They Just Love you!
