I came to this forum because I met a nice Nigerian man recently. While we share the same skin color, his views on many issues are vastly different from mine and I attribute it to more than just male/female differences they are cultural. So I came here seeking to find some insight as to the mind set and culltural value system of the average nigerian, so instinctively i entered the "cultural" section of this forum. Well, I have got to say, some of the posts that I read by AA's and Africans are shameful!! I can not understand how in 2008, after all we as a race have been through, grown a$$ folks will sit on a forum on the WORLD WIDE internet bashing and disrespecting other BLACK folks!! RIDICULOUS!!!!

In the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along??"

You are no better that me and I am no better than you and until we realize that we're all in this together and unite - we will continue to suffer!

Funny, i wrote about this before.  The Willie Lynch Syndrome is so bad on this forum that you can cut it with a knife.  From what i gather, most Nigerians on this forum don't like to see their own prosper so they'll do and say ANYTHING to bring their own down.  i m telling you, its like a conspiracy.  And if you ask me, its all about envy, bitterness and grudge. its a dayum shame.

tsk tsk tsk

boring pan-africanist banter

Pan-africanist, No I am not one but I must admit I love and worship Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X. I think I have seen every document and read ALL articles about them.

Boring, we all get bored. don't you?

Banter - Darling, I speak my mind. I may come off as a banter because maybe you don't like to be challenged by a woman. Guess what, i am not the kind of woman who keeps quiet. . .i tell it like it is. From your answer, one can tell you are a coward and only cowards who are up to no good want a wimpy woman. You know the kind who keeps quiet when you speak, no self esteem, who have no respect for themselves and no backbone. Well get this through your thick skull - I am not a wimpy woman. I speak my mind whether you or other on this forum like it or not. So darling, get with the programme.

You are probably another one of those who's favorite thing to do is bash black and powerful women. why?? because u are so intimidated by women just because we are the smarter and the stronger sex wink

Well this is Thanksgiving week. so if you don't see me around enjoy your thanksgiving kiss

To the POSTER, you are RIGHT!

I was once intrigued by Africans, until I felt their (false pride and shallow vainglory) sting.

Thus, I've researched it, and wondered why AFRICANS carry that "attitude"

I've asked countless black College graduates, and they never figured it out.

They just said they CHOSE to separate themselves from A.A.s.

HOWEVER!

I know the TRUTH!

AFRICANS will NEVER tell you who they really are.

Some are sons and daughters of the OPPRESSIVE REGIME.

Some are truly hard workers, searching for a better life (most)

YET, almost all have a Western Media view of AA's in the NEGATIVE.

Ditto

for AA's. We view Africans as diseased, backward, starving, embarrassing heathens.

HOW CAN WE CHANGE IT?

Especially, since Africans are TRIBAL, AND , hold genocidal grudges against their OWN black AFRICAN neighbors

AGAIN,all you have done is state one side of a raging argument without addressing the other, anyone reading this will think the aa s embraced and invited the africans into their homes after which the africans spit in their faces and refused to associate with them, while i acknowledge that most opinions on either side have been formed largely by the media and deliberate mis information,i think you should work on your unreasonable misconceptions about us ,clear your mind of all the negativity towards us and be totally objective, then put a balanced and unbiased argument or discourse foward,,,look at your first comments and mandingo's, see how similar they both are?justifying yourself while putting the whole blame on the other party meaning you have already made up your mind and there s no changing it,thats what i ll call being totally subjective in one's opinions
@canyon
while you wernt addressing me,i think you should chill out.all the dude said was pan africanist banter and you went all over him like you got some unresolved issues with him and all african men,you have a right to your opinions about african men but dont generalize and the fact that some of us disagree with or criticize aa s doesnt make us intimidated of any race,or group of people or black women, dont forget we have a lot of powerful black women in nigeria as well contrary to the media's perception which you might have used in forming your opinion like most foreigners

I never doubted/claimed that there are no powerful women in Nigeria(go back and reread my post)  In fact I ended saying that "we (women) are the smarter and the stronger sex" . . . .and I am sure you'll agree wink
