The aim of this thread isn't actually to name a parish or denomination that sanctions such a message, but to make Christian women aware of what's happening as per this CS matter.

I personally will be very reluctant to bring any parish or denomination into the spotlight for such a thing.

I worship with the RCCG, and I can categorically tell you I haven't heard such doctrine emanating from any RCCG branch.

That's another problem with the way these churches are run.

Why have so many branches and lose track of themselves?
If they have to open so much, then they should have one officially recognized 'Tenets of Faith' that all the branches/splinters adhere to.

The other day it was how one pastor refused to join some couple because the lady didn't dress to his specification, not like she even exposed too much.

I'm like why make a big deal out of it? Just say the darn words and get it over with - 30minutes tops, if looking at the bride too long is what will lead him to hell...Lol.

Women are the worst enemy of themselves. A friend and I were pregnant and she was due after me. She lost that baby because her mother and her MIL insisted that she shouldn't do CS. The baby was distress and died before delivery. Yet it was CS that was used to bring the baby out. Now she has a second baby, it is still CS she used.

This mindset has killed women since 1914. I have a cuz that won't be caught doing it. I always tell her to pray not to have a high risk pregnancy. I remember what she told me when she came to my bedside after my CS, she said she was angry with me for agreeing to do CS. I almost walked her out but on a second thought I rem my boy and I let it slide.

Come to think of it my baby was distress o and that was the last resort. My contractions has stopped and I had been stooling for more than 12 hours. So what should I have done? I tell anyone who cares to listen that my faith hasn't reach that. If it comes again I will gladly accept. After all safe delivery is mother and child alive.

Some don't see the wisdom in it and they would want to tempt God. She says it everytime that she can never have CS. That isn't her portion.

I have looked at my own scenario that if I didn't have CS my baby would have died. I was stooling for more than 12 hours and I later started vommiting, that singular act of vomiting put pressure on my uterus and my water broke. Before I could reach the hospital by 6am all forms of contractions has stopped. So tell me will I have been stupid to say I still don't want CS.

I look at my son and forget all what has happened. Apart from the scar on my body that still itches, I am fine and I will do CS all over if the need arises

Thank God your sister was wise enough to do what was necessary to ensure her safety and that of her kids. We rejoice with her. Children are the best gifts a woman can have!
