first is the cross rievr waterboard.

The cross river water board was established long before Liyel Imokes administration, but the board suffered a lot of neglect and never functioned at full capacity. Now with the intervention from the past and current state governments and the world bank the cross river water board supplies safe drinking water to calabar, ikom, ogoja, calabar south, akampka, yakurr, abi, obudu and many other areas.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201407080463.html
Undeniably, Governor Liyel Imoke keeps telling those who care to know that his investment in water provision is deliberate in a state that is a tourism hub and among the states with the fastest growing economy in the country.

And with more investors setting up in Cross River State in recent times, the governor does not want factories to lack water for production, just as he's committed to ensuring that citizens have access to safe drinking water.

Indeed, water provision in Cross River has become a case study in the country and many state governments have continued to visit Cross River State to understudy its example. To be sure, the states that have approached ADB for similar loans are first referred to Cross River State.

Through this tour, it was revealed that 86 communities in the state have been provided with water valued at N12.5 billion. This is strictly by the Imoke government. These communities cut across the length and breadth of the state. More are billed to benefit from the next phase of the project according to the government officials who guided journalists during the tour.

A breakdown of these communities shows that 16 are benefiting in Yala, 20 in Obubra, 14 in Itigidi (Abi) phase II, 12 in Obubra, 13 in Ogoja, 9 in Ikom, 2 in Ikom phase 2 and one in Itigidi phase I. The second phase will focus on those local government areas that are yet to benefit from the water provision programme of the government.

Next is the calabar specialist Hospital.
Due for commission march 2015

[img]A consortium comprising Utopian Healthcare Consulting, SIMED (the Netherlands), Cure Healthcare Management Services (Hong Kong), CCP (Nigeria), Healthfore (India), and ITB (Nigeria) has recent signed of a public-private partnership agreement with the Cross River State government for the development and operations of a new 105 bed referral hospital in Calabar, Nigeria.
AIH-Calabar-Arial250.jpg
The hospital is expected to provide high quality advanced secondary clinical and diagnostic services to the 500,000 citizens of the greater Calabar area as well as all citizens of Cross River State.
The project will span 10 years, including 2 years for construction and 8 years for operation, and is anticipated to be operational in 2015. The construction and equipment expenditures of the project will be financed by the government.
The consortium will bear some project development costs, deliver a turnkey hospital, and will then be responsible for running the hospital operations under the terms defined in the PPP agreement.
IFC was the lead transaction advisor to the government of Cross River State in this transaction. The project received support from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Netherlands-IFC Partnership Program (NIPP), the South Africa’s technical assistance trust fund, and HANSHEP, a group of development agencies and countries, seeking to improve the performance of the non-state sector in delivering better healthcare to the poor.[/img]

davitogreat:
I have always seen fashola's government as a bit overrated and elitist. The fact that he is being touted as the best leader Nigeria has to offer really shows you that Nigeria still has major mountains to climb. Hopefully the next governor of lagos whether (APC or PDP) governs the state better than fashola.

sidenote: One underrated governor in my opinion is Liyel Imoke. The work he has been doing in cross river state with the limited resources and the debt he inherited from his predecessor has been encouraging. I am especially impressed with the rural road and water projects, smart city initiative and the land reform project of his administration.

You were in the other thread putting Fashola down and claiming he's overrated, but you are here posting this rubbish as achievements?

LMAO..

This is why we don't take you jokers seriously.....

Below is the template for achievements and it's almost 7 pages long...

If you managed to fill up 4 pages with real and commissioned projects like in the above link, I promise to quit NL and never return... grin

Nice Imoke is working. APC are busy spewing propaganda the only thing APC states know how to do is by bed for N50 million in Govt house and commission an incomplete hospital with no bed or any furnishing in it. That The Kind of infrastructure fayemi was screaming about in Ekiti.

I posted these pictures before but I shall post them again. The institute has partnered with highbury college in the U.k and with General electric. They will both assist in training students of the institution. Plus General electric and her subsidiaries in cross river state and Nigeria will pick from their pool of graduates for employment in their companies.
