The book of Romans Chapter 6.

ROMANS 6:1

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin and that grace may abound?

→We cannot be in sin and continue asking for God's grace. A perfect one is the one who can ask for the grace of God and recieves it. The bible continues in the book of Romans 3:8 - and why not do evil that good may come?

    If you do bad to a person today, tomorrow, do you expect the person to do good to you? Though as a good christian, we are encouraged that when one slaps one of your cheeks, turn the other to him or her. It means when he or she has done something bad to you, do not hesistate help again. You should always try to render assistance, no matter what the person has done. If we go further in the book of Romans 6:15, are we to sin because we are not under the law but under his grace? Is it because we are under the grace of God we've got the qualifications to start dipping ourselves into sin? By no means! The bible emphasized.

     You cannot keep yourself in sin and continue asking for God's grace. It's impossible!

Like the book of Matthew 6:24 says. No one can serve two masters, either you hate one or love one, be devoted to one and despise another. You cannot serve God and Mammon.

    You can't walk in flesh and still say you're in spirit! They have great distinctions! Great ones! Galatians 5:17: for the desires of flesh are against the spirit and that of the spirit against the flesh. You cannot hold on to sin and still ask for grace! You can't be in Kaduna and Zambia at a go!

    But, you know the right thing. You know the right from the wrong, the spirit from flesh and sin from the right. Galatians 5 went further to give distinctions between the flesh and spirit.  They are not the same! You can't be idolatory and still come to church to kneel, which one are you serving?

Romans 6:2 By no means! How can who died to sin still live in it?

    Like I said earlier, it is not possible to be in two places! You can't be dead and alive at the same time! Have you ever recorded the history of the person who has died and still live? No!

    We have died to sin! How can we live in it?
  
 Romans 7:4

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made to join the law through the body of Christ; that ye should be joined to another.

Verse 6

Romans 7:6 ASV

But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

    So, it is impossible for you who's dead to sin to still live in it. A person who has been buried, dead already cannot be met at home still eating! It is not possible! Your sins have been crucified with Jesus and you aren't expected to be in that sin again!

Galatians 2:19

Galatians 2:19 ASV

For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live unto God.

A dead man cannot speak! Either you are hot or cold, you cannot be the two together!

Romans 6:3

    Romans 6:3 ASV

Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

    As Jesus was crucified, our sins were crucified with him. As he was risen the third day, the sins could not longer rise up with him. It means as he was killed, we were killed with him and as he rose up, we rose up with him and left our sins too in the grave. We are new creatures! We are different! Say it.. I am different!

Acts 2:38 ASV

And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    We were baptized in the name of Jesus. Though, many were baptized by John the baptist, but when Jesus came, he paved a way and his name was and is greater than that of any other one.

     Acts 19:2-5 ASV

and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was given. And he said, Into what then were ye baptized? And they said, Into John’s baptism. And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him that should come after him, that is, on Jesus. And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

     So, if you're in sin, you're not baptized in the name of Jesus.

    Romans 6:4

Romans 6:4 ASV

We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

    Have you ever asked yourself, can you walk in the newness of life? Are you qualified to walk in the newness of life with Jesus? Do you think you can fly up with him whenever the trumpet sounds?

    The book of Colossians 2:12says

Colossians 2:12 ASV

having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

We died and were buried with him for us to wake up and walk in the newness of life. A man without a new life is a type that will be casted into the lake of fire. A man without a new life can't walk with God in his glory.

Which one have you decided to pick? Life or death?

Romans 6:5

Romans 6:5 ASV

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

    Wait, you were once poorer than the church mouse and people left you then, many ran away, even your family. Now, you've gotten to the top, even if you forgive them do you think it's going to be easy to give them anything?

    You can't distant yourself away from God and still expect him to perform miracle. For where! You never died with him but you still want a share of his happiness? No!

    The book of 2Corinthians 5:10says

2 Corinthians 5:10 ASV

For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

    Now, you can't plant onions and expect Mangoes! Whatever u sow, you reap! Like I said earlier, you can't be in two places together. If you don't desert this sin, it is something you'll later regret on!

    You get something you've worked for! A person I don't know can't come and tell me he or she worked in my company for a month, I should give him or her the salary.

    That's it! If you aren't crowned, don't expect God to recognize you! If you do good, he will! If you are vice versa... no!

    Romans 6:6

Romans 6:6 ASV

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;

    Do you know how you'll feel if you gave your son his school fee and he spends it. It is the same that you no longer be in bondage to sin!

    The price has been paid, the life has been taken, we should be victorious now and keep enjoying in christ not enduring! 
    Colossians 2:13 ASV

And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;

    Romans 6:7

Romans 6:7 ASV

for he that hath died is justified from sin.

    Anyone who died with Jesus is the kind that's justified. Now I know, not everyone was crucified with Jesus. There were still some stubborn ones that proved abortive and didn't leave these sins. They couldn't let go of these sins and still lived in them.

    Now, only those who died with Jesus, suffered with him are the ones that are justified. Have you enquired from yourself if you can be justified at the end of the day? Will I be justified? Is my name part of those who died with Jesus?

    Have I left every sin in me also? Have I accepted this Jesus as my lord and saviour? No! Have I deserted this sin completely? Is my name in the book of life?!

    1 Peter 4:1-3 ASV

Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:

    If the trumpet sounds now will I make heaven too? Ask yourself!

Romans 6:8

But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;

    2 Timothy 2:11-13 ASV

Faithful is the saying: For if we died with him, we shall also live with him: if we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we shall deny him, he also will deny us: if we are faithless, he abideth faithful; for he cannot deny himself.

    Romans 6:9

    Romans 6:9 ASV

knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.

     Acts 2:24 ASV

whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

    Can the lord loose the pangs of deah because of me too? Can he loose the pangs of death because you? Have you risen from your sins? Have you?

    Revelation 1:8 ASV

I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

    Will you fly with him that day? Have you deserted these sins? It's something interesting but dangerous! But risky! Life-threatening and regrettable!

    Romans 6:10-11

    Romans 6:10-11 ASV

For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.

    Will you be able to beat you chest that you're dead to sin, alive to Jesus? Will you be able to boast of that name that I am free from sin, now able to fly with Almighty God?

    Romans 6:12

Romans 6:12 ASV

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:

     Yes! Some sins do pull you. They do pull you closer to them, asking you to obey them because they are sweet. Do you know sweet things kill? Do you know how much God loves you but hates that sin?

    If you obey the passions for sin, do you think you worth the crown? You have no money and you have the privilege to steal, will you steal? If you do, do you think you'll worth nearing God that day? Brew and cogitate about this!

    Romans 6:13 ASV

neither present your members unto sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

    How many lives have you touched? How many souls have you won this month? No! Some people's behaviour do send others away in Christ. Now, imagine a person who calls himself a real Christian and has #10,000. We know, sometimes, some people may have money which doesn't belong to them or probably they wanns use it for something very important.

    But now, the man has eaten, drank up to his satisfaction. He has everything he needs and a man you have been trying to win gets there and demands for just #500. To give the person becomes a problem to you. You are sending them away!

    Assuming the person knows your status very well, he or she will just think that's what you people do in this religion of your abi?

    This entails the qualities of u being nice! Be nice! Don't be a stingy being! If God was stingy you wouldn't have gotten that too!

    Behave in such a way that unbelievers will be pleased to be Christians.

    

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.

    Present yourself in a holy way! Be holy like your father in heaven!

Romans 6:14

    Romans 6:14 ASV

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.

Say it... I am special! I am different! Wait, do you know if you were the only sinner on earth then, Jesus would still have came to die for your only sins! Why no drop everything that looks nice before you and follow God? He's the only one that can free you from the laws of death, no one else!

    Sin has some Incorporations with death. A sinner will eventually die after he or she has refused to follow God! The bible has said it that death is the profit of sin.

    Do you wish to walk with God or dine with sin?

Romans 8:1-4 ASV

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

    Romans 6:15

Romans 6:15 ASV

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.

    This is more like the first verse. Is It because we have sakd the grace of God has covered you that gives you the audacity to enter into sin? NO! The bible used the exclamation mark [(!)] Ko possible na!

    Grace leaves one's head when one dips him or herself into a horrible sin! God loves you but hates that sin in your hands!

    Romans 6:16

Romans 6:16 ASV

Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

    It depens on whichever one you now decide on. No one can call me and tell me to enter into fire then I answer. So if you yield youeself to a slave of either sin or obedience, you are a slave of one! Either you become a sin slave or Obedience slave.

    John 8:34 ASV

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Every one that committeth sin is the bondservant of sin.

    That Is it! If you commit sin, you're a slave to the sin! Jesus said it, he said it to the people that if you involve yourself in fornication, you are a slave to fornication and someday fornication will end the life.

    And do not forget Matthew 6:24

Matthew 6:24 ASV

No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

   Either you sin or obey! Which one do you go for?

    Romans 6:17

Romans 6:17-18ASV

But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered; and, having been set free, you have become slaves of righteousness.

    Yes, this is for you if you have decided to turn a new leaf! You cannot be in sin and ask for grace to abound.

    Romans 8:2 ASV

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

    If truly you're free from this sin, accept him as your lord and saviour. He's the only one who can help you completely. Now, you might have given your life to him, you can always rededicate it, it's never too late to ask for forgiveness from God. But, tomorrow may be too late again because we know not what will happen in the next minute.

    Romans 6:19

Romans 6:19 ASV

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness unto sanctification.

    Now that you are safe, won't you give other souls to Christ? Won't you help to bring in more souls? Heaven is always happy over a person who decided to repent over a sin, can't you let heaven be happy once more? You can do it! Yes! Tell it to people that sin destroys and has no value in it!

    I don't have to say much again-

Romans 6:20-21, 23 ASV

For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness. What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    It's left to you, death or life?
