My Experience At A Church Today Almost Made Me Cry / Sex And Prayers: My Experience / Fasting : Your Personal Experience, What's The Longest Time You Have Fasted? (2) (3) (4)
Have You Ever Fasted Before? (my Experience) by steppin: 11:48am On Nov 13, 2014 |
Have you ever fasted before? How was your experience? On my first fasting, I fasted for 3days( 12am - 6pm) and my eye see double. The first day, it was very difficult but I was determined to go through it. Around 4pm, I kept looking at the clock waiting for the end of the fast. I'll glance at the clock after a while and it's still 10mins past four. Kai! I had to check the time on my phone to see if it was correct and it was. I nearly cried. I realised that taking a look at the clock every five mins won't help my "situation", so I decided to distract myself by reading a book I bought days before. But whosai? I kept re-reading the same page over and over again, cos my mind wasn't there. Finally, I decided to continue with my work and pretend the hunger wasn't there. It got me through eventually and I prayed in the end. The next two days, it was easier than the first. My body must have made changes due to the lack of food. Have you fasted before? What's your experience? 1 Like 1 Share |

Man shall not live by bread alone. Although fasting is not easy I must say, but!!!! Am use to it . @ op, have You ever tried white fasting before if not, I will suggest you try it. You can have three days fast(12am -6pm) for two days while you use the third day for white fast.(You are nt to eat any thing pepperish) You can only take fruits or drink garri without sugar or milk. Or better still cook yam or rice without salt or any ingredient on it. Above all, back it up with vigil. |

Saraha1:Vigil makes sense but I'll probably doze off! Fasting alone would do. |

steppin: What Vigil is the sweetest . Just give it a try, before you know it , it will become an everyday routine . Trust me on what. Rember the enemy attack at night and you as a child of God should always be available to Fire back at night. |

Saraha1:Sister, no be for person wey dey wake up early mo-mo, dey go work. Except maybe on weekends. God is in control in the day and night too, I have nothing to fear. I fast when I want to discipline myself or when I'm weak spiritually. Vigil comes once in while. |
