Latest reports informed that the Nigerian military has recaptured Mubi town in Adamawa State, northern Nigeria from the Boko Haram insurgents.


According to BBC report, the terrorists are
currently fleeing from the Nigerian soldiers.
Also, a resident in Mubi confirmed the news
to newsmen, saying that: “Earlier today, soldiers
launched a fierce attack, which saw the Boko Haram militants retreating.

“They have chased them away, but I’m not sure how far they went. Right now, people are still afraid of returning to the town because of the shock of the capture. “And some are afraid that Boko Haram may return

Though details of the development are still
being expected as at the time of filing this
report, a correspondent of the BBC in
Nigeria, while commenting on the news,
posted below tweets on his Twitter account:
Mubi is no longer in the hands of Boko
Haram according to Adamawa State
government officials.
