D nite plan works dis way, u will b giving 3GB (extra 1.5GB as bonus which u can use anytime of d day) . the 3GB can only can take effect wen u exhausted ur bonus (dis entails u will b restricted to browse btw 9pm to 6am).

D bonus can b use anytime of d day.
Even if u r accessing d internet btw 9pm to 6am and ur bonus has not exhausted, u will b charged from d bonus until it finished. Then u will b restricted to browse btw d stipulated time

MTN smartphone bundle:
U get total of 4.5gb
1.5gb for daytime (restricted just for daytime)
As soon as it is 9pm, any internet browsing will b done on d 3gb.
Dis implied:

1.5gb will b used BTW 6:01am to 8:59pm daily
3gb will used BTW 9pm to 6am

So what have I been using on my android since January 2014 ?

MTN can u for once be sincere with your offers.why the sudden change of data plans or is it because of excess demand over supply or what.

U have been using nite plan where u subscribe for 3gb wit extra 1.5gb as bonus. Its d bonus that allow u to get access to d net anytime. for now it has been stopped, u only can get 4.5gb DAT can only work 9pm to 6am.
But d new mtn smartphone bundle plan u get 1.5gb daytime and 3gb DAT can only work btw 9pm to 6am

I see no difference.

Earlier plan was 1.5 G daytime bonus.

Current plan is 1.5 G daytime deserved.

Both 3G at night.

Ok, I now see the little difference.

The 1.5 G doesn't get exhausted before billing starts on the Night time 3 G.

Please someone confirm this.

if your explanation is genuine then it's different and Ok... But not interested I add 1k and get 9gig from airtel for 60 days.

At d end what happens,, low battery and key pad wash. Lubbish

any plan from airtel is not it atall ... consumes data twice as much as normal and coupled with bad network quality... cant compare to MTN bro no matter what
