Greetings friends, please read carefully and understand the story.
My aunty, a single mother who is over 70years old has 3 children and none of them is in town with her because they have their respective families now. She decided to help a family member(female) who is over 55years of age to come stay with her in her apartment due to the fact that the said family member has issue with accomodation. They have both stayed together for over 6months having misunderstanding in one way or the other.
Now, here is the painful part. Two months back, my aunty lost her mum and this weeks saturday is the funeral. Since the beginning of this week, the said family member left the house to return this morning telling my aunty she has to leave town immediately that her son called for her(meaning she wont be present to assist in preparation or attend the burial ceremony).
My aunty kept calm and said no problem.

MY THOUGHTS...
Whats on my auntys mind? how is she going to react later? If you were to be on my auntys shoes what will you do?

I think I can't really say for sure if your Aunty's house mate or whatever did that sincerely. You people should know her better. She could be sincere about it but if she wasn't then your Aunty has no business of letting her stay with her again because she could be evil.

If her son sent for her and she cannot tell the son that she has an important ceremony to attend on Saturday-all fine and good.

With or without her, the burial will go on so let your aunt pretend she does not exist and do her thing.

True, its not right but what can one do?

If whatever her son called her over for is not an emergency then I see no reason why she should/ would miss the burial. Hopefully she might change her mind and attend or could it be that she's nursing a grudge against your aunt?

One should learn not to depend on people so if they fail you eventually you move on without any hitch.

On a side note, make yourself available for your aunt on that day oh smiley

In times of need we see the true face of people.

Thank God you have seen her face now!

Imagine what she would do if your Aunt took ill and needed help.
apart from that she has been having arguments with her!
when you get free accommodation and with such age gap, you can`t even show respect.

Your Aunt is old enough and has seen enough to know what to do.
