FOR TOMAYIRA CONTINUATION I couldn't believe my eyes, Funto was crying! So the rich also cry? It was now my turn to pacify him. I raised his head from his palms and talked to him soothingly. "Please why are you crying?" I asked him out of my feelings. "Evie, you wouldn't understand." He concluded dejectedly. "Then make me to understand." I replied him as I shifted my chair to his side so as to be more closer to him. "All my marital years; I have been enduring my marriage, Oh my God! I have been trying to avoid divorce." He brought out a blue handkerchief and cleaned his nose. "Then you should file for divorce." "No I can't do that for the sake of my daughters." He replied me swiftly. He continued.."Those kids will suffer from their mother especially Sharon, because she is more like me. All my wife interest is on her business, fashion and fame, she care less about me or the kids. You see if I should divorce her now, it will be a big blow to the kids and I don't want a situation whereby their mental growth will stutter." He concluded. Such is the caring and large heart my Funto have. He was always thinking of others ahead of himself. I heaved a sigh of confusion as the situation is very clumsy. "So what do you want from me? And where do I come in to this?" I finally asked him. "Evie, you have passed through many things that I think are more than your age, it will be inhuman of me to subject you to another painful journey that may not be fruitful." Funto responded. "Please I have told you to stop pitying me for Christ' sake." I told him angrily and made to stand up when he grabbed me by the elbow and professed his love for me. "Evie, I know you already have a feeling for me and the problem there now is that me too is starting to do so." He is now standing face to face with me. "Please will you be my friend 'cos I can't ask for more than this." He finally broke it. "I will try my best." I assured him. That's how we lit the fire of our love never to quench again. 1 Like |

CHAPTER EIGHT Our relationship grew stronger with time, we became inseparable friends and people at my place of work started to notice that I had become more jovial and playful than before. Saturdays became a day to look unto each week. We grew to know each more and more, he told me everything I needed to know about him and his families. His works, business and many other things, none did he spare from letting me know. Funto was always spoiling me with gifts of various degree, ranging from clothes to jewelry to house materials! Oh how caring my Funto is! He surprised me one day when a furniture designer brought in a set of settee into my house and they told me Funto was responsible for it. "Funto, this is getting too much and beside we are just friend, so why showering me with all this gift?" I asked him later in the day when I called him. "You deserves more." Was what he told me and before I could raise any other question he ended the call. He even brought Sharon his twin daughter one memorable afternoon. The girl was adorable and too beautiful to behold. She has this round face of Funto and I cannot but envy her mother and at the same time angry with her for neglecting her parental role over the chubby little girl. "Daddy has told me about you, he said you are a good friend and I wanna thank you for making him happy." Sharon told me later. I was totally surprised that such a little girl could be aware of her father's predicaments. I made a promised to her to always make her Daddy happy and this promise I have always keep. I practically had anything a lady would want to possess ranging from clothes to household materials but I didn't have any boyfriend. Funto came as usual on one saturday and we went to the cinema as usual. On our way back home he bought a Vodka to drink. When we got to my place, he drank out of it in fury and I sensed that something is amiss in his home. I didn't bother to disturb him because he occasionally drifts into such mood. He got himself drunk and I decided that it will be best if he sleep over in my house till the next day, thinking that he would have gotten sober by then. His sobbing woke me up around 3am and I shifted to sit down on my settee because I laid him on bed while I slept on the chair. "Funto, why are you doing this now?" I asked him with pity. "Evelyn, (he rarely calls me that except he is angry) I am tired of my marriage but my kids won't let me divorce this woman." He lifted his hand in frustration and clamped his head with both palm. "Evie, can you do me a favour?" He asked me a for a favour that I am ready to even do him thousands of. "Can you be my woman?" To be continue 1 Like |

marioking: Good The story line is great. That makes the story interesting. To be a great writer, there are certain key things that you need to know. The first and most important is tenses. I know tenses can be confusing, but with practice and determination you can use them perfectly. If you have time, try to Google and read...start with simple tenses before you can move to complex tenses. Another thing is conjunctions/linking words. Read more about them. That's all I can say for now...keep up the good work. |

CONTINUATION "Your woman? You must be kidding." I replied him with amazement. "No I wasn't." He drew me near him and planted a kiss into my mouth, not waiting for me to give him an answer. I couldn't reject his offer. We were locked in that way for a while before we disengaged. "But what about your wife?" I asked the obvious. "There is no BUT. All that matters is that you love me and damn! I love you as well." He put his index finger on my lips. It all happened in a minute. Funto dipped his finger out of his pocket and brought out a diamond ring. "Please take this as a sign of our Love." He said offering me the ring. "Funto please, please let us be cautious about this relationship. I think it is too early to accept a ring from you." I tried to refused the ring, maybe to avoid trouble with his wife or because I don't want to be seen as a gold-digger, I can't say. All I knew was that I was confused. "Don't you think I have given some thoughts about this issue?" He said reassuringly. "Okay, let's give ourself a shot at it." I said accepting the gift. With this Ring I wedded thee. Remember that phrase? I started to wear the ring with pride and even my colleagues at work started to throw questions like who is the lucky guy or when did the wedding took place? I just waived their questions and simply told them that they should be patient that soon, I will invite them for the D-day. Some even took it upon themselves to asked me what is my new surname. "Brian." I simply told them. Yes Mrs Brian make sense, doesn't it? One and a half year later Our love grew wings and took us places. We would visit the cinema and sometimes his Club house at Ikeja Lion club in the evening of sundays. He showed me to his numerous friends and I became familiar with some top notch politicians and rich men and ladies. He just passed me off as Mrs Brian. Funto became more generous and caring to me. He even told me he wasn't okay with me catching bus to work that he wished to buy me a car but I refused him on the ground that, people will be too inquisitive as to where was the source of my wealth and I don't want to be too flashy. He rented me a new apartment with two bedrooms and a sitting-room with a kitchen and a bathroom. He took it upon himself to transfer all my properties from my former house to the new one. He even furnished it to his own taste! "This is too much Funto, you are spoiling me." I told him later in the night as he insisted that he wanted to spend the night with me in my new house. "Nothing is too much for you Evie, inasmuch as you are comfortable and you really deserve the best." He said and gave me an emotional kiss on the forehead that sent a shiver through my whole body system. We ate the dinner in my little dinning amidst love and sharing. And we showered in turn before laying down for the night. Around 1am, the breeze became too cold for both of us to handled. He noticed me shivering under the bed cover and drew me nearer to him. He cuddled me and it grew to light kiss, from their we the kissing grew tensed and I started moaning in ecstasy. "Are you ready for this?" He asked me catching his breath. "Yes I am." I answered him and moved more closer to him. Oh! That night was so romantic, he started to kissed me right from the forehead to the cleavage. He quickly dispensed me of my bra and panties, and with a smooth execution that carried me off the ground, he was on top of me! And he slid deep into me with his third thrust. "God, you are a virgin," he sounded astonished. "Yes I am." I ascertained his word. He pushed deep into me, then lifted his head so that he can watch the range of my emotions. Then he began the rhythm, pushing deep , pulling out, thereby making me gasped, grasped and clutched him closer. Damn! It was painful yet stimulating that night. His desires had been too long denied by his wife and in the climax moment of heat and passion, he lost it. "Oh, Evie...." He groaned burying his face in my neck. I cried out as my own body, too, found release. We were lost of words and I looked into his eyes, then I remembered this verse from the Bible, Ruth to be precise, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go;........where thou diest, will I die He laughed and we slept off in each others arm. And the he traveled. |
