WHY I AM ANTI-JONATHAN
Essien Attah Wrote:

A good friend called me up today and said he doesn't understand my Anti-Jonathan stance, that don't I know he is a Christian and from the South South thus we must learn to support our own no matter what.
My reply, When your child is sick do you take him to a Christian Doctor from the South South or you ask for the best doctor around?
Would you prefer for your child to be treated by a Christian, South South Quack or advocate for the best doctor around to treat your child?
Hence if one wants the best care for one's child doesn't Nigeria deserve the best leaders votes can attain?
Should I be happy that when GEJ came to power $1 was N156,but today it is N188 and still sliding?
Should I rejoice each day I read in the papers that Boko Haram has killed Nigerians without respite despite having a Military that is far superior to the
insurgents?
Should I be happy that a litre of petrol was N65 b4 GEJ came and is now N97 and about to be increased further despite falling crude oil prices?
Should I rejoice each time Mama Peace and co jet out to Europe for healthcare while our hospitals are paralysed by incessant strikes, brain drain and a dearth of equipment?
And despite having a South South man at the the helm, gas flaring and environmental degradation continues with communities weaping and suffering in silence.
GEJ assumed power to solve Nigerians problems not make them worse.
He promised to provide jobs for the youth, not drag them to a fictitious job interview to be killed via a stampede.
How can one be happy with such a leader? Only a sadist can possibly be happy at that.
GEJ is not the best leader Nigeria can produce, neither is he a man who can restore peace and prosperity to Nigeria. So why should I follow him blindly into the abyss when it is visible to all that his leadership has brought more harm than good to our dear country?

Op, couldn't be far from the truth

No Sane Nigerian in his right senses will dare disagree ...

Even my Grandma once said, "she can't vote GEJ again", She said;

She voted him in 2011 even though she likes his dynamic personality, so to speak.....

So many Things are going wrong in this country.I kind of fear for our future... From $60b Reserve to a paltry $4B ...Argh!!!!

Although, GEJ has tried his best especially in Agriculture and Power, but sometimes once best ain't just enough.. You gotta step aside

If Atiku will deliver, Hence, people will speak

If GEJ can deliver, again, Still the Masses wiill speak

Well spoken and well said.. maybe jonatham has failed us, maybe he did nt do his work well.. but who wud u rather take d mantle.. seriously I think buhari is credible and good but he has ruled before and he shud give others chance to rule nigeria...
Personally am begining to think dat the northeners thinks nigeria belongs to them.. they believe dey were born to rule. If jonathan does nt qualify again den lets look for anoda person from the south east and west but not the north... shikina

Some people dont mind to cut their nose to spite their face

So if a Northerner happen to be the one that will return Nigeria to the path of greatness........we should not vote him in just to have an or..gasm that comes with denying a Northerner the Presidency

If Buhari says he will reduce the price of petrol to N35,the person you quoted and others that think like him will prefer we vote for Jonathan even if he says he will jerk up fuel price to N150

Until people begins to separate issue of Governance and performance from Religion and Ethnicity,Nigeria is not going to move an inch forward

It is pathetic that an average Nigerian youth is an illitrate in political issues. Am sad because this does not even exonerate the literate and lettered in our society. A man that has been given a chance but has failed woefully to manage the affairs of this nation. Some people are still clamouring for his return, this man has nothing to offer this nation expect retrogression. For me, the entire household of jona have had it good in six-years of his rule, and that family and its generations to come wil never know penury, can same be said for the Nigerian state? Enough of ethnicity and religious bigotry, our nation is at a critical time, we need a more pro-active leader, responsible, committed, visionary, revolutionary and people centered. The jonathan I know in the last 6years has got nothing to offer the Nigerian state, especially on developmental defecit it has suffered in years past. Our president may have the desire to serve, but he totally lacks the will, vision, the kind of preparedness needed for national transformation. The politics of 1999-2007 might have suited jonathan govt, the reality and demands of today's challenges demand an up-and-doing leader who understands nation building. In my opinion jonathan is not a bad man, but he is certainly not what a nation like ours needs at a time like this. Let us eschew our differences and vote the right people. the development, prosperity and progess of Nigeria should be paramount on our minds and not the aspiration of one man. A prosperous Nigeria will discourage our brothers from running out for greener pastures abroad, the nation will work, education wil be top-class, health and agric will move forward and all these will culminate in massive employment. These are the duties you and I owe Nigeria. Pls vote right, God bless Nigeria

well said at OP.. infact you have brought me deeper into the light of the whole matter.. Jonathan's administration is a failed one..

but here's the crux of the matter.. WHO IS BETTER or THE RIGHT MAN?..

wahlai, I do not want a situation where I'll be on the border line between death and Islam.
