Would suggest you check the suspension on a lift or jack it up a little you should be able to see what is loose.

To the second part of your query NO is the answer.

To the first part I think you should think of replacing whole parts and not just bushings, consider replacing the FAULTY rear arm/s as a complete part. Tell your mechanic to take appart the rear suspension so you can inspect the various bushings and joints.
