May I remind you that as Minister of State for Education, Wike had two bosses whose imprimatur were needed before concessions could be made to striking lecturers? Or do you not that negotiations during strikes are not necessarily as simple as it looks as the government has to balance requests against available resources?

In any case, you need to hear Wike speak. The man is a textbook example of a grassroot politician. He is fully in charge: no bravado.

Just look at how he seamlessly delivered a well-scripted acceptance speech: dishing out punch lines after punch lines.

First of all, what makes Wike a good candidate for Governor when he did nothing for Obio Apkor LGA during his time as Chairman.

Secondly, when you say he rescued Rivers State PDP, I laugh because they created the problems they were rescuing the state from. Wike and his crew Bipi and Felix messed up Rivers State PDP and the polity of the state. Everybody knew for years that what he was gunning for was to succeed Amaechi as Governor. Well, we have seen his final move, sadly Rivers State indigenes were 10 moves ahead of him.

Finally, only someone whose mind is closed towards reality would try to separate ethnicity from Nigerian Politics. Even people from within the same ethnic and tribal group fight let alone a State as Ethnically complex as Rivers State. Know this now, An Ikwerre Man can not succeed an Ikwerre Man in Rivers State.. I can argue for Upland communities like the Ogonis and Opobo people's, but I strongly feel like it's time for the power to shift to the Riverine people of Rivers State..


If you say Wike saved Rivers PDP, then I just want to say that Wike just killed Rivers PDP because of his greed to get power.

I am more Rivers than you know and would walk through most hoods in Rivers State without fear. Infact, the people that define Rivers State Politics today from Amaechi to Wike to Felix (before his first wife died/when he was a brokeass punk roaming the streets of Omoku) to Odili when he was hustling with Pamo clinic at Orazi. Yes the present man did little barely 1st tenure but men its Rivers State,the Treasure Base we are not Imo or Nasarawa.
My point if it will take pdp to unseat this group and they can show us what they can offer in any lgas they win so be it.Do you know after 2011 election under this administration each LGA chairman changed furniture with over 80Million each? and not even the govenor said anything.Do you know they awarded most contracts to the LGA chairmen and party faithfuls who did terrible jobs that some lgas have no roads like Oyigbo where the only road is the one done by Shell,try going to the airport evening through Igwurita and if you face the traffic divert to your right to beat that traffic,the indegiens say after elections Amaechi abandoned them but if you ask again,a son was awarded the contract which didnt last 1yr.
