President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday admitted his frustration with the Federal Government’s efforts to tackle insecurity in some parts of the country, which he described as being hampered by sabotage.

Jonathan spoke while receiving some Nollywood and music stars under the auspices of “Creative Professionals,” who paid him a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The President described the alleged sabotage as a frustration, occurring both internally and externally.

He however did not explain further on the nature of the sabotage or whether the saboteurs are in the government or in the military.

Despite the setback however, the President assured his visitors that the efforts being put into the war by his government would soon yield positive result.

Addressing the delegation which was led by an actor, Segun Arinze, Jonathan said, “One of our greatest challenges is this insecurity. We have our frustrations, we have issues of sabotage: internal and external, but we are working very hard and by the grace of God, we will overcome.”

The President also admitted that apart from insecurity, the country is faced with challenges of infrastructure.

He, however, said his administration was committed to improving the situation in the areas of transportation, aviation, ports, roads and power infrastructure.

While lauding members of the entertainment industry for creating positive image for the country, the President regretted that most politicians only generate negative issues.

He said, “Somebody may just look at you as entertainers but you are much more than just the entertainment industry because you create a positive image for Nigeria.

“Most of us politicians are just busy generating negative issues.

“Everyday, they talk about corruption, governance and other issues. It is you that pump the positive news into the system.”

Earlier, Arinze had commended Jonathan for his administration’s support for the creative industry.

The actor claimed that never in the history of Nigeria had any President given the creative community the attention Jonathan had given them.

He said, “Your uncommon transformation has seen many of us travel to the best film schools around the globe to receive training we could only have dreamt about.

“We have received grants to make better films whereas we could not previously access loans.

“Under your administration, many of our members have received national honours, many of our members have gotten political appointments.”

Commending the President on his strides in the different sectors of the economy, Arinze urged him to remain focused and continue the good work.

“We salute you for your maturity in the face of unfair opposition, tyranny and cynics. At a time like this, as you prepare to come back and seek the mandate of Nigerians for another term, you can be rest assured that we are with you. We will support you. We will be there for you, just as you have been there for us,” he added.

What do you expect from a clueless and incompetent nincompoop parading himself as a president?

Someone who is bereft of ideas and ability to perform his primary duty of providing security will always look for excuses. In his own warped wisdom, other presidents before him did not have one challenge or the other to contend with.

The fact remains that GEJ/PDP know people behind the insurgency but they chose to look away in order to cover their own track. If not, why is Ali Modu Sheriff still a free man in this country? A government that has failed in over four years to successfully prosecute a top shot sponsor of Boko Haram with multitude of evidences starring all of us in the face has no business in governance.

Mr. Clueless, enough of the excuses already. It's time to go back to Otuoke.

Lastly, you will do better in Nollywood with Segun Arinze and the likes. Nigeria is not for comical president.

I don't think any Messiah in human skin is somewhere in Nigeria to tackle BH to zero level. That's true because all their wanted conditions cannot be met. If for instance GMB becomes the next President the BH will only ceasefire for a while and come back into actions as GMB too will not be able to meet up with their conditions such as Islamizing the nation and abrogate westernization.

Only God can touch the hearts of the BH guys and their sponsors.

The internal saboteurs are APC, ACF, El Rufai, The Nation, and some eediots here that I can give my time to mention while the external are USA, France, and Arab countries. In iboland we call the saboteurs osu imi or Cowbell during Biafra war Saboteurs are shot.

I think GEJ should stop looking at others for his failure as a president.

Which external or internal saboteurs prevented him from auditing how the 3trillion Naira defence budget was spent? Which saboteurs prevented him from rallying support for his troops by visiting them in the states and showing support and solidarity with the soldiers. All responsible presidents in the world go to.the war front to listen to their soldiers and show empathy and compassion for the course the do.

When your prez says on national.TV " I can't go.there, they will just kill you" then you should look no further for saboteurs than him

What I hate to read on nairaland is posters praying to god to solve problems that were willfully created by politicians. God does not intefere in what humans can handle. Insecurity , bad infrastructures, poverty and corruption are not spiritual problems. Solution will only come when we start demanding constructive actions, not rhetorics from our leaders. Nigerians are too docile.

Listen to yourself and try to see if you make any sense.

So you want me to answer a question bothering on a false allegation which the person credited to have said it has come out to categorically denied?

If that's your level of reasoning, then we don't belong in the same class. EOD.
