Matthew 26:39 NIV: Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. YET NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS YOU WILL.”

In the midst of the babel of voices within and around us (for & against our preferred candidate), enroute 2015 polls, let's us be careful to adopt the Lord's approach - always putting the will of the Father ahead of ours. No matter the pressure (from what people are saying, what the headlines read & even from available facts & figure), NEVER cease to put that 2,000 cubit space of respect and submission (in your heart) between your own will and the will of God (Joshua 3:3-4) concerning your leaders (federal, state & even in your organization):

Romans 13:1 NIV: Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

So those who are for the present administration, pray in this manner:
“My Father, if it is possible, may this present administration continue beyond 2015. YET NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS YOU WILL.”

For those who desire a change in administration, pray in this manner:
“My Father, if it is possible, may this present administration be taken away from government come 2015 & be replaced with ...... YET NOT AS I WILL, BUT AS YOU WILL.”

The human mind cannot fully comprehend the spiritual battle over Nigeria. Our best bet is to pray earnestly, fervently & in right-standing with God, in the above manner.

Jam 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH.

We will achieve better results this way, rather than lend our voices to the devil.
