My Thoughts On 2015 Election by phransix147(m): 7:22am On Dec 18, 2014
I have been thinking so much about the upcoming elections in 2015 and here are my thoughts. The present administration has been here for four years now if not even more and it has really not shown great signs of being able to lead Nigeria to its desired promised land. I can say its an administration choked with ideas but just can implement just few. An administration which would boast of developing many sectors especially Agricultural Sector with its Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA) claim to have provided subsidized farming inputs for over 4million farmers and in a year just 250,000 farmers were engaged in producing 1.1 million metric tonnes of rice and yet the price of rice in the market never dropped it fluctuates within N7,000 - N10,000 per bag.
Also will the present administration claim to have changed the Power sector and yet Power Supply in Nigeria is on a decline, recently where I reside can only boast of 4 hours electricity in 24hrs and the 4 hours is from 12 midnight to 4am, you can imagine that. Yet there have been promises of steady power since 2010. They will claim again the transport sector has had a face lift with introduction of rail system, a rail that takes over 24 hours to move from Lagos to Kano is that development? Should we talk of the millions of jobs they claim to have provided? and yet poverty and unemployment is what we have.

Let me share a friend's experience with you guys, I have a friend who paid money to join this federal task force which is a SURE-P project. He successfully join them and meet with them in Ketu/Ikosi area of Lagos regularly, they don't have salaries yet but they still assemble, they have opened salary accounts but nothing enters. I was like how do you now cope with transporting yourself there, he said he uses from his savings with the intention they will pay up even with arrears. I was like okay but where I couldn't help but laugh was then he told me they asked them to contribute to build an office for themselves. And I was like who does that?

In a nutshell we should accept that this present administration is struggling with its ideas and its taking ages to implement the few they have and I can bet if given another 4 years they would keep moving in circles and wouldn't take us to anywhere.

My suggestion is this, since we are the masses and we have the power to elect, Nigeria is like a Television, this present government is like a channel and we the masses have the remote to the Television. I bet everybody changes channel when they are bored of a particular programme a channel is showing and return back to that channel if other channels are even worst than the previous. why don't we deny them another 4years and vote another party for 4 years if they are better we would come back to them. Another 4 years without direction would not be good for this our dear nation because it seems everyone is already on the edge. We have stuck with this party for 16 years and yet they are finding it difficult to deliver, let's don't consider this situation as a devil you know. Let's taste other waters that's what democracy is all about.

Am supporting the opposition because I want change. If the desired change can't be gotten I would switch back simple.

Let's consider these as the electioneering approaches.

Thank you.

The truth is that Good luck will not offer us anything better than worst if voted in again, but my worst fear is that Buhari will offer us the worst to worst, on many areas because of ethnic and religious matters, all the same on the day of election, I will vote whoever my mind wants me to vote for.

Thank you my brother oo, only if we can think straight and vote wisely.

But ignorance and sentiment won't allow some people to quit living in bondage.

You have said it all, this government has got nothing to offer. Its been almost six years and they achieved nothing in reality rather, there achievements are only seen on paper. I cant endure four more years of clueless government.

Shouldn't we try GBU? Just like Ekiti ppl did with Fayemi and saw he is not good went back to Fayose?

We need to unite on this...
