there has to be an activation sequence such as sms to a particular number which i'm trying to work around.

I think glo is more reliable because their gprs is stable and the 1st in the biz, but the glodirect internet stuff is a rip-off. MTN offers full internet so i can do all the stuffs on pc on my phone even share the connection 2 my computer thru bluetooth. 4 vmobile i cant say 4 now got all the setings on my phone, but i cant browse with it. customer service sent me a mail that its has not been officially started that y. pple tell me how some of u can browse, but i cant with everything is enabled on my phone. live in portharcourt though is that d reason or something!

wat i can say is that GLo is the "best", Mtn Is "Useless" with all thier call tariffs, Vmobile is "Trying" but they dont have Gprs , instead they use Data call , which means u brouse the net like u are making a call. As for "Mtel" they should so thier coat according to thier size and stop imagining insteaded of dreaming!

mtn Gprs is not that bad it just trips off and on. but when on it is effective.its free so....... but Glo is undeniably the best when it comes to Gprs. their nmms is still a sham

Its free on mtn for now. glo doesnt have a set down tariff. your money keeps disappearing for a minimum of 5 days after accessing the gprs. and if you dont have enough credit say less than N700 when next you recharge they'll remove part or all of it. trust me

In reference to the last post by the guy that said vmobile doesnt have the gprs wap function, it has both the gprs and data. As for charge rate:glo is 70 naira per kb.mtn is 75 naira while mtel as they say is 65... Vmobile has not announced theirs... About the service efficiency,no doubt glo is the most effective and it is due to their age in the game. But i tell you vmobile is faster and i believe with time,they will become the best cos its just too wonderful... Mtn is quack.

Glo does have a fixed tariff. Its should be 70 kobo per kilobyte. So the cost depends on the size of the page you open...

MTN will become fast once people start paying for it.. i'm aware that a lot of people are already using it as gprs modem connected with their computer & executing heavy downloads. once they start charging, i beleve it'll be blazing fast..

Guys it seems that bad as the mtn network has been criticised for its poor gprs provision, it has quite a fast speed at night. Seems its because of less network jams and usage at that particular time.

Hi peeps, i think this is all about a personal beef for Mtn or perhaps the experience is diff where u r. I am currently on mtn gprs and my mobile opera downloads this webpage in less than 6 sec with full graphics. I think its more of a position thing.

What position? The fact is that Mtn is slow except at night and it can be due to many reasons like network jamming and all that. Glo is ok and very reliable. Vmobile is cool only it goes off and on. Thats how it is every where!

Hi people,was gone for quite a while...sorry though,was on a tasking course...so back to the matter,"gprs" .which is more reliable at the moment. As usuall glo has remained the fastest,as for v-mobile,i m not too sure because i m in benin(okada) now and there is no v-mobile service there now.<very painful>. As for mtn,they have maintained their top record as the slowest network "gprs-related"... Although i used it to surf on my laptop with my phone as the modem,the connection rate was just too slow for comfort,after making my emergency researchs for 45-50 mins,i ended the dial up...using glo line as a dial -up modem for the computer later on really accentcted the point that glo for now remained the boss(no current idea of v-mobile's dial-up speed yet)...mtn connected at a much slower rate<115.2kbps>...and for emphasis sake,mtn has a very erratic billing rate...although for 1 week now its been free sha...think i v far out-written my usualls;perhaps,its because i have long since posted...peace!

Be patient and wait for the workshop details, by the time we finish with ya phone, it will be smoking hottt!! just be patient cos phones like e313 can only be configured by experts like me and my workshop partner, even glo guys might not be able to config it... There are people that have gone to gloworld and came back diappointed, we eventually configured them for pop3 mail, yahoo messenger and dial up modem.

men u sound like one guru. i love it when niaja guys are confident of their jobs. when is the workshop. mind u i leave in jos and i work so men fix it at a convient time. buy men can u make an exception for now and help a guy i beg. i am really at my wits end. i have missed some stuff becos my phone aint got the capabilities. ty
