After watching Stoke vs Chelsea, i saw that Mikel still posses the best pass in Chelsea. I mean the best touch. One can take a direct shot from his pass BUT PACE is ZERO. Pls help me deliver this my open letter to him

Well, it is very difficult to find a player that has it all. What is important is that you make the most of what you are good at. Fabregas doesn't have pace and he isn't a good marker; but his passers are top-notch and he keeps getting dem assists.

Mikel should just relax his mind and keep delivering those tailored passes. I'm happy that he's getting game time now. He can become adventurous and go forward once in a while but Matic must be covering 1st.

#chelsea for the quadruple

Someone playing standing midfield to have pace? Matic was roving and Mikel behind him, if Mikel wasn't featured in the match Matic can't run errands cos Ramirez, Oscar or Schurrle will play Matic role. Mikel and Matic performed brilliantly, less flop and recovered loosed ball immediately that is why you saw Cahill and Terry fully relaxed with only one tackle from both of them in the whole 90mins. Maybe it was 2012/2013 season you watched from Black and White TV.

I remember telling a friend at the beginning that the combination of mikel, matic and fabregas will be a compact formation in midfield..
Fussing the trio quality will augur well for the team. The same diamond midfield R D M used to win the C. L with the trio of mikel, lampard and ramirez..
This partnership can become the best in the world.
This remind me of the midfield trio of Vieira, Edu and Gilberto when arsenal were at their peak.. They were rated the best in the EPL and in Europe..
Chelsea trio can accomplice this feat. Ever since, matic has been comfortable playing along side Mikel and the smart one did justice to that.
I am happy for Mikel. If you think mikel is a slow poke, Mourinho thinks otherwise and he has been showering the lad with praise..

It was Mereiles not Ramirez that played in the midfield

Yes, i agree he played well. But, some of the tackles he won needed to be pushed forward by him b4 releasing the ball. Hence, PACE would polish him better. That's wat i mean

Playing standing does not mean you should not attack at all. His tactics will be positive to the club bt somehow detrimental to his enormous skills. OR do those moving forward not come back for some interceptions?
