Nairalanders abroad: Please educate your people at home on the next election and the need to vote out cluelessness.

I am happy at the level of enlightenment and zeal to move the nation forward; to change the course of our great country and salvage what is left of it. It is a plain truth that the enlightened and educated has differentiated light from darkness and are ever willing to save this nation through the ballot box. Enough of this massive corruption that has made us a laughing stock in the eyes of everyone but us.

However, a large population of this country is still enmeshed in sentiments; these are the people that will vote out of religious and tribal sentiments. They abound in leaps and bounds. They will prefer a christian anti-christ to be their president rather than a performing muslim. They are brain-washed with sentiments which they swallow hook, line and sinker.

I hereby call on all the nairalanders in diaspora to pass the message to their loved ones at home. As you send back those hardcurrencies, inform them that they can be independent of you when they chose a better leader for this country. Educate them on the need to salvage this country and the need for change.

As for me and my family, we are voting General Buhari.

To make Nigeria great is a task we must all do!

And Buhari's horde of Talakawa voters (12million) are not enmeshed in tribal sentiments?
Your supposed reason/quibbles actually eviscerated the point you're trying to make.

I don't think we 'people at home' are clueless and need that much of an education from people who don't live in Nigeria.

Granted, being a bit removed from the day to day situation may provide some perspective, but let's not be condescending.

Unfortunately people even in 'developed' countries vote on 'sentiments' (whatever those sentiments might be). I think the enlightenment must come from within Nigeria as those of us in the country feel the effect more than our brethren abroad.

The person abroad cannot feel the pain of lack of power and running generators more than those of us at home, or the effect of poor schools, insecurity etc.

There is no need to sensitise anybody . Those in the : west should take a trip to lome ,Ivory Coast
East to Gabon, Equatorial guinea
North to Niamey

Poor countries but compare the bang they are getting for their buck to ours.

I just returned from Nigeria, u should thank GEJ for providing some basic infrastructures compare to OBJ and military era..........with another 4 years of continuity he would improve/work on other infrastructures and institutions.

That is departure hall of MMA.......though not yet up to international standard but look better than the last time and Nigerian and their administrators should learn a lot about maintenance.

It seems ridiculous people will be attacking someone for expressing his opinion. If he state a position I think he reserves the right to it.

I don't know whether is so much lack of accommodation of diverse opinion and expression here without the usual TABULA RASAS going on the offensive to shout down the person.

What's the fear of the TABULA RASAS?

If you don't like Jonathan is your own choice and stick to it but asking people to educate others on your choice is a joke and immaterial. People should vote according to their conscience not your dictates as no voter that is matured (18yrs) that does not know what, when or how to vote. What is clueless in your eyes might not be the same in another man eyes. Vote wisely please.
