It's not out yet. Definitely plan on seeing it when it does. Gonna see Milk too. Heard Sean Penn really deserved his nomination for it

Doubt is another one on my list.

Definitely agree with Jolie's nomination for Changeling. She was good.

I love Bardem but he didnt deserve the nom for Vicky Cristyina Barcelona neither did Rebecca Hall. pretty good movie but Penelope Cruz was the best thing about it. She deserves the nom, seriously. It would be nice if she gets it

Tom Cruise's part in Tropic Thunder was mildly amusing, definitely not worthy however. Sooner give it to Robert Downey
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by KarmaMod(f): 4:51pm On Dec 12, 2008

hey I know that was shameful . . pls dont rub it in. . grin

But really, most of those movies are not yet released.
Save for TDK, Changeling, Burn After Reading and a few other ones. .

The voters get to see the movies before release. . so. . .

Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by dinozzo(m): 2:41am On Dec 16, 2008
why would I want to see milik or frost/nixon tongue, what of ironman and tdk except for Heath's nomination, they even ignored QoS and transporter 3 shocked tongue what rubbish tongue. I don't get to hear about some of these films till the nominations come out.

I heard Gran Torino was good and Rourke's performance in the wrestler was quite good, he might end up getting an oscar nomination

Good to see Kiefer was nominated for 24 redemption and dexter getting some nominations
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by KarmaMod(f): 2:55am On Dec 16, 2008
QoS ko. KSA ni.

Transporter 3 ko. Agberoporter 8 ni

abegi jare. tongue

Liked IronMan but definitely not worthy and Heath is the best thing in TDK

I'm cool with it  cool
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by vescucci(m): 11:42am On Dec 16, 2008
Well said, Karma. I personally don't like action movies getting nominated for anything else but technicalities. TDK is a rare departure. It should/must get something. But QoS? No no! Even though I haven't seen it.

By the way, I was thinking the same thing with y'all. I was complaining that activity this year has been pretty boring except for a few movies but now I think the best movies might be the ones being saved for last. I got work to do.

Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by MadMax1(f): 12:12pm On Dec 16, 2008
Good lawd! I haven't seen half the nominated movies on the list. Bardem again? What the hell Karma that's your handiwork, mind!
Go Kung Fu Panda!
Why the blue blazes are they nominating Tom Cruise? He plays a creepy bald thingie in Tropic and a Golden Globe's next?
I'm getting Revolutionary Road jare. Go DiCaprio, you little god you!
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by vescucci(m): 12:28pm On Dec 16, 2008
Everyone is saying the same thing. It's one thing to know what you're missing. I'm just learning of most of these films now. I don't like Tom Cruise. And it has nothing to do with his acting. He gets it right more often than not. With the animation thingie. It'll be a close call because I like everything I see in that category. But Wall-E gets better nods.

Maxie, give Karma a break now. She did say she didn't think Bardem and whatshisface deserved nomination, and Cruz was the only real worthy person in the Barcelona something or the other. You don't post as often as before, Max, what gives?

What's up, cara?
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by MadMax1(f): 12:42pm On Dec 16, 2008
I was teasing Karma. She didn't put his name there, did she?But she's such a devoted fan of Bardem. I'm working on several projects. Some with deadlines. Such ees life. I wish the danged things would complete themselves. I hate work. How you been? I recall you vanished someplace sometime ago. What's up with that?

Vesc! You don't like Cruise? Why nat? After his superb turn in the very disturbing Born on the Fourth of July, he couldn't do anything wrong. Hmm, well, there is the creepy scientology. Why don't you like him?
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by iice(f): 12:49pm On Dec 16, 2008
rofl max grin grin
I wouldn't say i don't like Tom Cruise. He's just there for me. I'll watch his films but i don't really care other than that undecided

I do agree with Karma on his nomination though. He was funny but i don't think he deserved a nomination.
Am already trying to work my way through the list. . .that will take long. Hopefully i'll be done before Oscars grin grin

Not so well here caro undecided But i'l be fine grin
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by MadMax1(f): 12:55pm On Dec 16, 2008
Yeah right, iice. Play it like you've never felt that 10000 megawatt smile of his.
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by iice(f): 1:02pm On Dec 16, 2008
grin grin He's alright jare. . .but i seem to be always caught up in someone else with him around. Besides am too consumed with Johnny to pay attention to Tom tongue
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by vescucci(m): 1:12pm On Dec 16, 2008
Tom's teeth was extensively worked on. Well, so's Jolie. And boys have always had the hots for her. I like Cruise as an actor (especially in Spielberg films and A few good men) but as a person, let's just say he creeps me out. I actually think Scientology is quite cool sans the gay community.

Aww, cara. Why is this?
Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by spikedcylinder: 1:17pm On Dec 16, 2008
Am I the only person alive who still likes Tom Cruise? What has he done to the world really? After seeing him in Vanilla Sky, I was smitten and interested in him as an actor. Celebs have done far worse things than jumping on couches o (which is when I guess he started heading to hell in the media's eyes). sad
