Ebony, when the kids are big i think they would rather be in their room studying than sit in the living room waiting for mom to give them a hug/greeting. Trust the kids of today, they won't be by the door waiting for you (i will deal with any of my kids who sit down when i just came in from work or from shopping. . .run your small behind off to come help me and give me a hug )
