My brother, tell me u started out as a web developer/designer by first learning css. If not, why encourage somebody to learn css before html... Can u start plastering a house without laying the blocks or roof a house without roofing frames? *SMH* I see how professional your advice is.

Please note, the OP did not specify if he is a pro/beginner in html or not. And I assumed he understands a lil bit of Html for him to think of making his website user friendly...

Now, I assumed he understands the basic part of HTML...

Now for someone who understand the basic part of HTML why should he start his career by using images in place of CSS..(Its wrong and wont make his site user friendly as his website will be slow to load...)

And that's the reason I suggested CSS and not Image editing Software's...Do you understand now?

Its a known fact that without basic knowledge of Html (Note BASIC) you cant understand CSS.. but judging from the OP's post it looks like he understand the basic of HTML (at least he understands the concept and reasons for having DIV and ID's in an HTML DOC)...

You can perfectly write CSS without having to look at HTML (as long as you understand the basic structure). In fact, you're not even styling HTML, you're styling DOM elements. DOM elements correspond 1:1 to your HTML (99%+ of the time),

You should maybe consider a career in lawma you have their skillz.

If you're a web developer or u work in a team of professionals, you'll know that the work of a graphic editing software as photoshop, fireworks, coreldraw is for UI/UX mock-up. You first plan how it should look first then you start the psd to html or whatever software u use (basically it's photoshop or illustrator) for designing. When you are through with html & css mockup, you'll then decide the programing part of it e.g after html and css, I decide which php cms to use wether wordpress or joomla or if you know what u want and are good in programing, then u can take it up from there. If you want to help the OP, let him know what he's in for okay? I would not like to be arguing with novice's here.
