This thread is not for fun. I'm seriously in need of advice.


There's this girl that visits me in my hostel almost everyday and I'm so tired of seeing her. Don't get me wrong, she's just my friend. Today, while I was trying to sleep after a long day's work, she came again at around 2:30pm this afternoon and she stayed till 5pm. My trouble now is I was supposed to sleep for like 1 hour and go and read because my exams are around the corner but for 2 hours and 30 minutes, I was stuck with this girl. I can't just tell her to stop visiting me because I've known this girl for close to 3 years via the internet and we've been really close more like siblings. It was just November last year we actually met face to face. I dropped some clues hoping she'd take it and leave but she didn't. My roommates are not actually complaining but they're now feeling like I'm not serious with my studies. My point is how can I make her STOP visiting me and let me concentrate on my studies and let her concentrate on her's too?

You my friend is your own problem. It's obvious that you are not honest with her and yourself.
What stops you from politely telling someone you what to have a nap?
Is she supposed to just look at your face and read your mind?

Had it been it was your blood sister that came at such a time, how will you handle it?
Dude relax and be honest with your feelings.

Whenever she comes,keep doing what you are doing,if you wanna sleep,tell her,excuse me I wanna rest,I did stress myself a lot today,I hope you wouldn't mind please.

One thing with people is that when you show them the sign of your body language, they will never get the clue!, i understand you don't want to hurt her feelings, but you really need to tell her you need space in a polite way.

Sit her down and tell her you are not comfortable with the frequent visits .. Gbam .. Abi u kno be man .. Or try Origin wey cold call her u wanna see her don't worry the words will drop ..

Maybe you tell her in a subtle way that your rommies are complaining.

Maybe the only language she understands is sex, try doing the touchy and feeling stuffs in the presence of ur roommates, if she leaves know that she might read the handwriting on the wall and never come back again or spend much time with U next time, but if she stays, NO THAT U'VE BEEN DENYING HER FOOD SINCE NOVEMBER .

You know for a fact she's not interested in you....good but she might end up being interested in you because she likes you......
If she's close to u like a sibling, tell her to give you time at least to prepare for ur exams and let her know you are not comfortable with the frequent visit....
