I friend of mine who has been withdrawn from school due to poor performance, called me yesterday saying he has not been able to go home and he is also not on campus. I wasn't able to give him any advise. So I asked him to come to school this morning, I need advice from you guys, especially those that might have had such unfortunate experience.

if he just lacks interest in schooling but has other strong points and skills which u can confirm he is very good at. ... he should come open with his parents. , seek guidance and start up whatever he loves doing asap.

He will have to. But first he has to have plans, concrete plans of what he wants to do with his life else he will come across as unserious

He should brace up and inform his parents. Perharps they might have a better ideas.I know of someone that wasted 4 years of his useful life frolicking around campus and also constantly billing his parents. while his mates have finished, served and working, he is in a big shit now. I understand getting withdrawn from school has 2 do with very low grade points for a number of years.

1. What are his passions? It doesn't have 2 sound 'reasonable' 2 u but encourage him 2 pursue it if it's legal tho.

3.What is the purpose of your life? Why are you really alive?

4. What impact do you wanna leave on the world.
After you've discussed throughly the 4 questions, proceed to 5.

5. When should we tell mum n dad?

It's awful tasting medicine but the patient needed it. School is just a part of our lives.

Let him quickly inform his parents and lets see how they can reason together and seek admission for another course either in the same university or another, and I hope he is telling the truth!

I know as a student he is suppose to have course adviser on each levels, what happened to his relationship with his course adviser who is suppose to put him through advice on either to swap his course as he was not meeting up with the requirements. I'm sorry for him, let him not waste time he should think of plan B(retrace his step and get back to school as soon as possible)

I believe women have soft heart, he should quickly inform her mum first, though the mum will react to this, because no mother will clap for his child on what he/she has done wrong. Ask him what he wants to do with his life. What are his goals? It might that he was studying a course he wasn't passionate about and/or wasn't skilled at. In that case, he probably had little to no motivation to study and hence, did poorly. He has to sit his parents down and tell them. They will be disappointed but I'm sure they want him to succeed in whatever he does. If his interest lies elsewhere, he should look into ways to get there. Tell him that he shouldn't compare himself to others, as everyone as their own path. It's not the end of the world.

Talk to him in with an open heart, that he should walk to his parent and inform them, he should plead for their forgiveness and he will turn a new leaf in whatever he will be doing now. Though they won't be happy with him but am sure they will forgive him. But if your friend did not inform his parent and you know your friend parent, do him a favor, walk up to his parent and inform them. You are not an amebo , you are only helping a brother. Your friend may not appreciate you now but in the nearest future he will.
