IN just two days into the on-going annual Holy Ghost Congress of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, 37 babies have been delivered at the venue.






Disclosing this in the early hours of Wednesday, the General Overseer of the church, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, said there were sets of twins among the babies, saying it was an indication that God was set to give the worshipers joy.

Pastor Adeboye added that those that had deliberately kept away from the programme were missing what God had promised to do in the programme, adding that worshipers present should make efforts to invite their friends and relatives.

“I pity those that are not here tonight. God has promised to do great things in this meeting. Now if you have any friend or relative that is not yet here, pick up your phone and phone them, send them text messages that they should not miss tommorow's programme because God has promised to do great things,”he said.

While speaking on the topic "Joy of the Redeemed", Pastor Adeboye said there were three major types of joy available for the redeemed of the Lord: Joy of a new name, joy of new location and joy of a new management.

Commenting on the babies delivered during the programme, Mr. Mepaiyeda Adesina said it was not unusual to see babies delivered safely at the Holy Ghost Congress.

"One peculiar thing about the babies delivered during the programme is that they are always pointer to what God will do during those programmes. Take for example, sometimes ago, the number of boys was greater than the number of girls. You will discover that what God did during those programmes are numerous," he said.

He pitys the gullible ones that did not come and drop their hard earned monies to him. Why are nigerians so blind? All these Gods of men need to be arrested and jailed for life because they are worse than some of the theiving politicians we have out there.

Lol, I don't know what's so amazing about pregnant people being delivered of their babies at a  "holy ghost" convention, 10 babies were also being delivered at the hospital across town!!!! Then the thing about more male children being delivered than females doesn't make sense, when I read it I was like "WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN" , and I'm sure his cronies(followers) were all nodding their heads in agreement to a statement that makes no sense whatsoever no matter how you try to understand it.

Adeboye is just saying meaningless and pointless stuff.What is so amazing about babies being born at the congress?
Babies will always be born when the pregnant mothers are due to give birth to them.That is just the natural order of life.
Something spectacular could be a woman who has been wanting a child suddenely getting pregnant and all the nine months process takes place there and then and then she gives birth.Now that would be something. 
I pity him for not getting all the money he thought he would get through the congress from those that did not turn up.

I really don't get the point RCCG keeps announcing that so many babies are born at their crusades? What is the big deal to me it seems they are trying to create a false impression that they are miracle births were as they were just normal births by women who shouldn't have gone to the crusade in the first instance since they were heavily pregnant. To me the trauma of having to travel down for an over crowded crusade in a very uncomfortable environment is enough to drive any heavily pregnant woman in to labour.

May be they are announcing it because no woman lost her life during labour which is common in Nigeria. We should all thank God they delivered safely sha. Nope, Jesus the Christ, who's the Administrator of the New Testament isn't a short-tempered being; he's reasonable, isn't he? Why be wrathful over a discussion of claims?

1) Every pregnancy is a miracle, as is every birth; Pastor Adeboye is thus not on shaky ground to proclaim the birth of the children as wonderful events; yet, why/how are they any more wonderful than the thousands of babies born in Lagos that day?

2) How would the birth of sets of twins indicate a good omen for the Congress?

3) Pastor adeboye has also claimed that he drove a car for more than 300km on an empty tank; do you also believe this? And no, the car wasn't hydrogen-powered, nor solar-powered, nor was is powered by electricity; and, er, the Pastor is certain his fuel gauge was not faulty; he claims he simply drove on empty.
