Ur ansa was apt. Nobody sets out to marry such person's butnobody knws wat trrow holds. In addition, we hve so many physically abled, mentally disabled peeps roaming everywere.

@Op, kindly change the disable to physically challenged. We are all disable in one form or the other, it does not necessary mean it must be seen or noticed but when others see or notice then, the person is physically challenged.

A hearing or speech impaired person do usually love to date or marry themselves due to sign languages while visually impaired and other physically challenged folks love to get involve with people that will accept them for who they are and make them happy.

Now, @op, my question goes thus, can you date or marry someone on wheelchair or visually impaired person?? Maybe that will help.your curiosity.

Medoyin I don't know what I'll do cos someone on a wheelchair is very different from someone with a deaf ears....I've once 'loved' someone with a hearing iss...I quoted d word love cos we were flowing just fine till he proposed...I got confused and ever since I haven't been myself cos I've been trying to imagine life with him, what it'll look or be like... though he wasn't born that way, it was an accident...I'm not sure I truly loved him though...but love aside, , sentiments aside.. I just need someone who can answer this question with his or her head and not what he or she feel or think.

Loving someone is very different from marrying them..you can love as many people as possible for one reason or the other but in the end will choose just one to marry, and that does not in anyway mean you don't love others....
I hear love alone is not enough in that institution called marriage, so if you 'love' your deaf and dumb cousin so much does it mean you can marry another deaf and dumb guy out there simply because u love him so much

Now I get you. It really depends on the individual involved. Imagine a situation where a relative is physically challenged, the way he/she looks or associate with a physically challenged person will differ totally from someone who has never been in contact with such a person. Also, the upbringing of an individual will determine like once religion and family.

If I understand or can learn the sign language and see within me that,we are compatible and will not hurt her in any form through her disability, I can because she will bring the happy home I desire and if I see we may feel somehow, relocation will be the best option.

Ofcos the offspring will be fine and normal cos disability most times isn't hereditary...I rarely see cases where disability affects the offspring.....so when I mentioned having kids with such person, I mean the stress and the little help u get from ur hubby on a good day in the course of raising a child..

For instance, you settle with a deaf guy, you have a baby after a year...then one day, you leave d baby in d room n dash out to get sth n ur hubby is in d living room probably reading/watching TV.. then d baby falls from d bed and you come bk to see ur hubby relaxed in d living room while ur baby is somewhere on d floor crying... have you thought or imagined how you'll feel??
