Well, I am the kind of person that is either interested or isn't. If I am not interested, there is little a guy can do but some women are different. A friend of mine needs a lot of attention before she can open up so it's really up to you how you go on about it. I think a few weeks, if you are really interested in a girl, is ok but months is too much, I would say. Whatever you do, don't let any lady treat you rude and don't act desperate. You must be charming. wink

I am not desperate gan....

Charming..i will sure get lot of charm 4m herbalist, lol.

So we were all in the staff bus, he was sitting next to me. Said hi. I knew I hadn't seen the face before. I see so many faces anyways. So I replied with a sweet smile.

*hello*.

Immediately one of my south African pallies started giving me correct gist before we got to our hotel .

cheesy

I love how you create suspense. wink

When you sweetly smiled at him, was it because you liked him immediately?

I am looking forward to the rest of the story. wink

I didn't think you were desperate but this is what some girls think when you give them attention. So by any means, avoid making such an impression. This is what I was trying to say. smiley

Lol. But at first you thought that your current beau wasn't your type....

I think hesitation is typical to women.

That was my ex and yes, this is what I thought but my girlfriend used to date his friend and so we had the opportunity to get to know each other better and this is how it developed. If he had put "pressure" on me, we would not have come together. I feel quickly suffocated by too much attention, I am a sensitive person, a man must find a balance between enough attention and my need to feel free. wink

I have opened a new thread for you and Odunharry and others who are still, actively or passively, searching. Come and let's discuss such issues there, if you like. I am sure TV01 can help many people as his way to marriage was a long one. wink He can encourage plenty of people. And the other married folks, too. smiley

@bold

I like it. wink

I am actually thinking to open a new thread because some people complain that we do more than just share stories here. wink

The married folks could help those who are still in the dating world and yet to find someone.

Yea, that's a good idea, we don't want the thread to lose its purpose.

Oya, lemme complete my story. This is a very warm thread.

Trust me: I made the very first move. Politely. Gentlemanly. Courteous. Appeared simple. She was preparing for her one of her HND 2 exams.

After chatting with her for a while, I politely requested for her digits, which she gave me there and then. I just knew she was going to be my wife. I have been praying for a lifetime since my secondary school days...
This is love! I swear i'm loving this thread and your fairy tale-ish story. This thread and the stories here are better than a combo of The notebook,Titanic and the Twilight saga. Na happily ever after me they wish you and your family. Happy sunday!

I'm sure you know what you want and mean by attention. A man hardly ever woos a stranger for a serious relationship.

Lol. I'm neither actively nor passively searching. But thanks for the heads-up.

Are these girls that have known you for a while or girls that just met you?

Thank you op for the lovely thread. You put a smile on my face this Sunday morning.

I love staying indoors. Friends and sometimes family would tell me to try and go out a little bit more. My lovely friend would say - you don't meet people while indoors. She was wrong in my case. Love found me at home.

We lived in the same city both in Nigeria and in the UK. My sister was travelling to Nigeria and his sister needed to send a parcel home. His sister gave him the parcel to give me to pass on to my sister. Somehow that parcel took a few hours to drop. Been married a few years now.
