Is Lagos to ore not part of the journey to where ever you are going to? Is the route not federal road? Are you telling me you are going to cover another 5,000km federal roads from ore to any where in the eastern region even calabar? Think right bro!!!

If you read my first comment well, you would have seen that I never said GEJ built or didn't build 35000km of roads. My comment wasn't about GEJ but about the OP's estimation methods.

U and the OP that claim to have sense, the premise upon which he bases his argument is that the circumference of the earth is about 40000km.
And he seems to forget that, for example, I can cover a distance of 40000km while cycling round a stadium repeatedly.

I have asked him, for example: If you're going from Lagos to Calabar, you get from Lagos to Asaba, cross the Niger bridge and head on to Calabar from Onitsha. Is there only one federal road leading from Lagos to Asaba, and is there only one federal road leading from Onitsha to Calabar.

All interstate roads are federal roads. And many intrastate roads are also federal roads.

Op I follow your drift, no doubt, these guys lie with every breath they take. I know the road stuff is also a lie but it might not be exactly in the context that you put it, and here is why.

The shortest distance between any two point is a straight line. Point A - B could measure 100metres, and at thesame time 100kilometeres depending on the route you take to get from A to B. Therefore, although the circumference of the earth could measure the figure you quoted, it doesn't necessarily mean no distance on earth can surpass that, which is the basis of your argument that the government lied.

OP you are trying to be smart but you made absolutely no sense.
The Lagos - Maiduguri you gave as an example might be 744KM on a map but on ground the actual road will be a lot longer than that because it wouldn't be a straight line, there will lots of detours here and there.
Besides there isn't just one route that leads to Maiduguri from Lagos, if all the roads on the different routes are worked on, you will find the total distance running into thousands of kilometers.

And it says, that by 1990, Nigeria had a total of 108, 000km of roads, the largest in West Africa. Out of which 30, 000km are paved and 25, 000km are gravel and the rest are unpaved.

Another attachment below, a documentary analysis by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in 2011 shows that totally, Nigeria has 198, 000km of roads, still the largest in West Africa, broken down thus:

Federal Roads: 34, 120km

State Roads: 34, 300km

Local Govt Roads: Approx. 129, 580km
