sometimes when i go through Nigeria budget and i see how they want to raise
revenue; I laugh. Tell me; how can you convince a man that 'provides his own
water, power his business through generator, grade his own road, provide his own
security' to pay tax. he will surely have a desire to evade tax if he has the chance.
This is why i think the govt should do more, I also read yesterday in the news that
the excess crude account has been reduced to$2.45bn.
This can't continue, instead of dwindling the excess savings, why is it difficult for
the govt to cut down their various expenses? I meant political post, this is what
you get when am economy is centered upon one major source of income. this is
when Nigeria should begin to think about diversification.. we have tourism,
agriculture and many
my conclusion; the incremental method of budgeting the govt is using every year,
all the cost should be justify, and govt should learn how to keep their promises
during campaigns so that tax payers will be happy to pay their taxes
