What Happens When You Buy A Foreign Product: A Bricklayers Explanation. by datibo: 11:41am On Jan 21, 2015
For instance, I buy an Italian shoe worth 20,000 naira. I pay the seller who had bought from the Italian company. My money goes to Italy. Italy gets more money for their economy while Nigeria looses her money. They get more money to increase their standard of living, create more employment while Nigeria looses in standard of living and no employment is added to our economy.
But if I had chosen to buy a Nigerian made shoe, I will be creating a job for someone because as long as I buy, producers will continue to produce and the more they sell, the more employment is generated. Our money will continue to flow within our economy and Nigeria will be better off. THE BEST WAY TO CLEAR POVERTY OUT OF NIGERIA IS ONLY IF WE START PATRONISING OUR OWN PRODUCTS.
