Let Us Pray For Nigeria by jesuseun1(m): 9:30pm On Aug 20, 2006
Ahead of 2007 elections, another aspirant killed.where are we heading to in nigeria.i think it is high time we start to pray sincerely and fervently daily for our great country in our closet, because i know prayer changes situations for better.this is our jerusalem, the bible says in psalm 122:6 that we should pray for the peace of jerusalem ,they shall prosper that love thee. Nigeria is our jerusalem

it is not by travelling abroad but by seeking the god that is above.
Let us be on our knees and i know when men pray ,it wil move the mighty hands of god .it has happen b4 and i know it can happen again, the children of isrealites cried unto god and he answers.

This is a clarion call.

It is well with with Nigeria!
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by nilla(f): 12:28am On Aug 22, 2006
We can start now smiley

Let there be peace come time for elections and may we have a leader that puts the needs of Nigerians before his/her needs.
In Jesus name we pray - Amen
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by otokx(m): 11:09am On Aug 23, 2006
I don't believe in this.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by Abeem(m): 6:38pm On Aug 23, 2006
@ Otokx
You are not alone.  I agree with you.

Yes, the country has a plethora of problems.  If there is anything that the country lacks, definitely, prayer is not one of them. Nigeria is swimming in an avalanche of prayers, yet her problem has not abated.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by otokx(m): 7:15pm On Aug 23, 2006
Looking back now I think religion has done us more harm than corruption in this country. The armed robber pays his tithe to the pastor who prays to God to give him more increase so what are we talking about?
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by nilla(f): 11:16pm On Aug 23, 2006
it doesn't mean we can't still pray and hope for nigeria. people have faith smiley
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by jesuseun1(m): 12:56am On Aug 25, 2006
let us all keep hope alive, at the end of the tunnel there is always light.we should not all be discourage by what is happening around us. after all the isrealites were afflicted in the hand s of the Egyptians for 400 years and just one day God heard there cry.

otokx,u beta believe in it now ,it might not be for the sake of ur generation but for the generation yet unborn.
God bless u nilla ,we need pple like u that still believe in praying for Nigeria .THere is no other way than for us all to believe in NIgeria.America is where they are now because they believe in America,THe japanese economy is one of the best in the world to day because they choose to believe and appreciate what they have, let us emulate them too ,we will be great too.it is just a matter of time.
Nigeeia yi ti gbogbo wa ni .ko ma gbodo baje ,meaning Nigeria belongs to us all,we should not allow the things to fall apart.
let us keep on praying !
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by nilla(f): 1:32am On Aug 25, 2006
Amen to that
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by otokx(m): 8:50am On Aug 25, 2006
The Japs don't believe in God like we do; they devote all their time to developing new home grown technologies while we are praying for nigeria and doing bad bad bad things. Through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen, In the name of almighty allah - na so the great ebami eda talk.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by nilla(f): 2:24pm On Aug 25, 2006
I feel you otokx, but it does not hurt to pray for naija since we believe in God.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by Afam(m): 3:08pm On Aug 25, 2006
Are we going to pray for

1. the senator to stop looting?

2. the politician to stop trying to get there at all cost?

3. the police to stop taking bribe?

4. the nigerian to stop offering bribe?

Prayers without action is a waste of time and the prayer of the wicked never gets beyond the ceiling (assuming the ceiling is a reference point)

The same people that will dine with the devil at night will want the world to believe they are God-like, babalawo for night - church for morning.

Our problems in Nigeria lie within our own very immediate environments, from our friends, fathers, uncles, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons etc.

Prayer is good but purposeless prayer is a waste of time. i believe Nigeria is the most religious nation in the world so it is not a question of prayer as we have more than enough prayer warriors, unfortunately I don't believe we have more than a handful of good people around.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by nilla(f): 3:15pm On Aug 25, 2006
I get your point Afam. It makes perfect sense what your saying, but I still think we should keep on praying and also strive to be good (that would make it more purposeful right?)

I'm just gonna say Amen to your 5 points of prayer smiley
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by otokx(m): 4:44pm On Aug 25, 2006
How many of those praying for Nigeria really believe in the system?
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by jesuseun1(m): 6:42pm On Aug 25, 2006
otoks ,i quite agreed with u that prayer without action is nothing.

what our country need now is a positive change , the reponsibilty lies on evryone of us especially we the younger upcoming generation.we can make a difference, one OF the ways we can effect the change is by prayer and then by becoming that change, micheal jackson said ,THe best way to make a change is by first of all change the man we see in the mirror everyday. WHAT WE PREACH SHOULD NOT CONTRADIT WHAT WE DO.
THIS IS A CLARION CALL TO BE A DAVID IN OUR GENERATION THAT WILL RISE UP AND KILL THE GOLIATH THAT IS THREATING HIS GENERATION. WE CAN DO IT !LET US KEEP ON BELIEVEING IN NIGERIA INSPITE OF ALL ODDS.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by Chxta(m): 6:54pm On Aug 25, 2006
Something funny happened a few weeks back. A Mopo who was with his squad doing 'duty' on the road approached me, gae me a tract and said: Accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour. I laughed in his face.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by jesuseun1(m): 6:42am On Aug 26, 2006
chxta ,what u experience are part of what God will do in this end time,He will used pple we dont expect to preach the gospel.the mopo is a human like u,he has a soul too and Jesus died for him to.so it is not funny,we havent seen nothing yet ,music and movies stars like eminem, madonna, brandy will confess christ to the Glory of God.it shall come to pass.
Re: Let Us Pray For Nigeria by otokx(m): 9:15am On Aug 26, 2006
what chxta meant is that the man was collecting bribe with one hand and giving tract with the other hand.
