I WANT to reach out to all the pessimists and nihilists who believe that Nigeria is doomed for ever. That Nigeria will be forever governed by those who resist change and good governance even with the last drop of their blood. That our National and State Assemblies will never cease from being called “Trading Posts” and multi-billion dollar “Deal centres”. That Nigerian Ministers will continue to balloon their budgets with unacquainted surpluses which are then channeled into private bank accounts. That Local Government Chairmen will instead of serving the people, ceaselessly flaunt their ill-acquired wealth and without end, taunt the unquestioning impotence of a docile and time inured people.

That the only way to rake in the “Fast Millions” is to become a Government minister or official who now has more “Detached Duplexes” in all the choice estates of Nigeria than the wealthiest business man available. No wonder ministers weep openly and profusely when relieved of their portfolios. No wonder the only patriotic Nigerians are those who challenge Governments daily frightening surge of corruption and are finally labeled rebels.

And for all those who believe that hope is lost and that change can never come to Nigeria – I have news for you. Change indeed is coming to Nigeria, Change that will be fundamental, Change that will be basic and structural, and Change that will be all embracive and liberating.
