I open this thread for Christian who may be voting for Buhari to share their reasons.

Well I got born again in the University precisely 20plus years, and over time I fellowship have served attended not less than 7 churches. The last election 2011, while my husband supported Buhari, I stood at the fence and instead decided to throw my vote away by voting Pastor Okotie.

As expected when this election season started again, I again I stood on the fence. Indeed last year, I had the privilege to listen to the tape by one RCCG pastor which branded APC as an islamic party, and in fact when I got to that part I stopped listening because his facts where not adding up. However i took time to investigate and found them to be half truths. You see I come from Benue state where we have 98% Christian with 16 years of failed PDP rule and so I have no choice than to become a critical thinker.

Now back to what changed my mind. When Prof Osinbajo was announced, I took time to investigate his profile, and that began to give me a more relaxed approach to the APC ticket. But more that that I began to see new approaches to campaign, more issue based discussions and plans. I am no naïve to think all plans will work, but when is see the mix of Babatunde Fashola & Oshomole I know that while some of the proposals may not succeed, I think as a Nation we have made significant progress. Indeed while many fear Buhari was been fundamental, I think he is in the best position to tame the Northern extremism, without the back lash why ? Because of the love for him up North. Indeed last December, way before the elections campaigns had picked up my husband and I was surprised to see someone canvassing for him at Lafia.

So finally after appraising all these I made my decision, I am going to cast my vote for Buhari based on the following reasons :-

• Why some accuse him of having hands in Boko Haram, I beg to differ, he simply does not have the financial resources to fund Boko Haram.
• He is high ethical and thus I know corruption will be reduced by at least 50%
• His military background is an asset to tackle the current breakdown in the army
My key request to Pro Osinbajo/Babatunde
• Push for amendment of the Nigerian constitution and making it clearly a secular state to avoid future manipulations and get every Nigerian to accept it and run with it.
• Construct roads with CCTVs to ensure perpertuators of violence can by identified and prosecuted
• Come up with frameworks and tackle the current militancy issue in the North

i am not voting for religion, i am voting for somebody that will work for our country and buhari is not man enuf of for ME to vote for him.......... He can die anytime he is living life like our formal president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who died in power.......... So i am not voting for sick man

You are absolutely correct! This election should never be about religion or tribe.

I also respect your opinion on what you think is the capability of Buhari.

I am however unable to process why you think Buhari will die if he becomes the president. It will be clearer to me if you can kindly mention just one person who will never die...

Christians or Muslims will not be allowed to vote in the next elections, only Nigerians will.

So the elections should not be about who Christians are voting or who Muslims are not voting.

We face deprivation and poverty in this country not as Christians or Muslims but as Nigerians.
Even though Buhari might not achieve a lot if elected I am trusting that he will at least stop the dangerous desend that we are shamelessly celebrating...

buhari is very sick. Western wants to use him to collect power knowing that HE has short time to leave.......... Think of what OBJ Did for jonathan, he use him to compact naija daltas for what he did to them

The import of my response to you is that no one can predict the time of death of another being. We are all susceptible to the cold hands of death.

Leave all these wild allegations, vote for a candidate of your choice.

I think him being sick is just a rumour being peddled about by the opposition party.

I wish people will just focus on who can provide good governance and leadership instead of finding any and every excuse for sectarian violence
