PLS GO AWAY! We don't want pseudo christians anymore. They paved way for the destruction of christianity in the middle-east. We don't want them again. Please carry your kaya and GO. I think GOD would be satisfied with a few christians who will stand their ground and say yes! JESUS MUST REIGN! Than for multitudes who would sell their birth right for a bowl of porridge. I'd rather suffer when a christian is in power (so long he doesn't disrupt my relationship with my God) than for me to vote for someone who would make me feel like an outcast because of my relationship with GOD hence forcing me to change or i die? GOD FORBID! So long I have a relationship with my GOD, I can never suffer, I repeat, NEVER SUFFER

You are an extremist, my friend or just grossly misinformed.

Nice and good write up. The number of pastors that will follow Ayo Oritsejafor to HELL through the gate of hell that was opened by his partner in crime, is damm toooo much. How on earth will pastors supporting this incompetent and corrupt gej with thieves and pickpockets as friends? Well, its written in the scripture that "not all that call my name re from me" and since they re not from God, definately from Hell which one of them is the gate keeper.

Whilst YOU wrote from the comfort of your padded cell in the asylum. In which parallel Universe did Buhari ever promise to make Nigeria 'ungovernable'?
In which alternate timeline did Boko Haram start in 2011? The same BH that led a bitter struggle against Yar'Adua's Government that finally led to the deaths of their founders and a pledge for revenge by the surviving members?

Bros, flee from lies, lest ye not burn in hell.

Aren't we tired of this open letter nonsense What you wrote is Open-Text Book. Some of this critics would do worst things if they were operating at the capacity of Bishop Oyedepo. If God knew you would be a better Bishop Oyedepo, He would have installed you in that capacity. Let's leave these men of God alone and let the Almighty judge them Himself. You have not taken care of your little character flaws and weaknesses and you look into the life of a man who has positively imparted lives in millions. If you had respect, would you have written an open letter to a man who may not even find you qualified to be his personal driver!

Where was Christians when Yaradua a Muslim was president and Jonathan a Cristtian VP? The man govern Nigeria far far better than any Christian before death came. So it is now that Buhari a Muslim and Osinbajo a Christian contesting that Bishop Oyedepo can tell his church member that God told him that Christian should not vote for Muslim. He did not even respect G.O at the meeting help on Sunday evening at Redemption Camp. Hummmmm, power of money. Oluwa Lo Mejo Da. I rest my case, but surely the will of God will be done.

Letter To Bishop Oyedepo: Thou Shall Serve No Other God, By Adeolu Ademoyo
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Bishop Oyedepo,

Based on the foundations of our faith in the Acts of the Apostles whereby as Christians we are urged by the living God to proclaim the Gospel with joy, great enthusiasm and minister to the poorest among us, I bring the word of God to you with respect to your decision to be part of the 2015 elections and what they hold for the poor and most vulnerable among us –the friends of our Lord Jesus, our Emmanuel-God among us.

Ordinarily, it ought to be presumed that as a Bishop of your Church that you are aware of this divine message, which rests on the divine unity of the Body Of Christ. But your recent decision which divided members of the Body of Christ in your Church-Winners Chapel, Ota, western Nigeria- when you openly asked them to pray for President Jonathan’s success at the polls, and, which led to the open resistance of your curious prayer point has justified this reminder.

The Incorruptible Body of Christ rests unmistakably on Joy To The World for that Joy To The World is at the core of His Word among us, which is at great risk given your embrace of the source of major corruption in the land-President Jonathan, who is the source of the misery, poverty, joblessness, un-employment of the poor and vulnerable who our Lord Jesus calls us to minister to and proclaim the joy of the Gospel to.

This message concerns the visit of President Jonathan to your church-Winners Chapel- at the thick of the 2015 campaign during your church’s third service on January 25. President Jonathan was in company of Mr. Jones Arogbofa his Chief of Staff and Mr. John Kenny Okpara Executive Secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Board.

Given the way our kind God is working for Change in Nigeria we have it on record that President Jonathan has been sending emissaries to some Pastors to pray for him meaning to pray against change. The information yet to be confirmed is that money is changing hands and the emissary in this transaction where money is being used in hot pursuit of Pastors and the Body of Christ is allegedly Mr. Okpara Secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Board.

Dear Pastor David Oyedepo, here is where you come in because you are one of these Pastors praying against Change in Nigeria. And this calls to question our call to serve the poor and most vulnerable among us by our God.

First, as a Bishop, you are expected to say the truth. As a Bishop, you are in the eye of the Nigerian Christian Community. Yes it is true that as Nigerians there are some of us Christians who can reconcile our Christian faith with corruption. There are some of us who in open disregard to the scriptures, which proclaim “They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption.
For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. ” Peter 2:19 would force a false reconciliation of the Incorruptible Body of Christ, the scriptures with the insane corruption under the watch of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Regardless of this, you have the faith obligation to say the truth before Nigerian Christian Community whether you visited President Goodluck Jonathan, and whether you asked members of the Body of Christ in your church to pray for President Jonathan who has never been a friend of the Nigerian poor and the vulnerable. So Bishop, I have a simple question for you: did you visit President Jonathan, and did you ask your church members to pray for President Jonathan’s success at the polls?

If you did, did you visit with other brother Pastors? If so, who are these brother Pastors? What are their names? Who organized the visit? Nigerians know that your brother Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria who is also supposed to be the president of Christian Association of Nigeria has sold CAN to President Jonathan as part of his campaign structure. Hence, we want to know if Pastor Ayo Oristejafor was part of this visit too.

Now these are what are in the pubic domain. Because the vast body of the laity across all Christian denominations of our faith who are closer to the street conditions of the poor in Nigeria have decided to defend the Incorruptible Body of Christ by distancing themselves from the corruption under President Jonathan, the president has panicked.

The president panicked because unmindful of the history of our nation, he has in a most divisive manner initially sold himself as “the Christian” candidate. That did not gain any traction among Nigerians and the Christian laity because President Jonathan’s regime seethes in corruption, and President Jonathan’s social and moral corruption stands in fundamental contradiction to the Incorruptible Body of Christ.

Hence, Nigerian Christian laity have decided to distance themselves from him in defense of the Incorruptible Body of Christ. This is because if someone is a Christian and he/she is going into politics, and he/she wants to put herself forward as a Christian, then such person must go into the roots of Christianity which is a service to the poor, the socially and economically broken, the lonely and the most vulnerable and socially disabled in our society.

This, the Christian-in-politics must do in defense of the Incorruptible Body of Christ. That is, we know a Christian candidate if there is one, and not the mere parroting that “I am a southerner then I am a Christian candidate” like President Jonathan is mistakenly doing in direct offense and antagonism to our individual Christian and moral consciences.

Sir, Bishop Oyedepo, a Christian candidate is not who is dubiously and on private, personal friendship basis anointed by the CAN president-Ayo Oritsejafor, a business man though a Pastor, whose role is transient and who like all of us mortals must account for his service and sins against the poor, before our God.

Rather, the Christian candidate is that who represents the “poor” roots of Christianity as a service to the broken and who then ministers to the spiritual needs of the poor as the poor is lifted out of poverty as we proclaim the Gospel with joy.

Thus a good Christian must run on an anti-corruption platform for the Body of our Christ is Incorruptible. Sir our faith is fundamentally irreconcilable to corruption. Because our anointment is an anointment to serve the poor ceaselessly without season, our anointment knows this.

Dear Bishop, I am not the one talking. It is a voice from the scriptures, which I commit to you thus “They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. ” 2 Peter 2:19

But on the contrary, Pastor Oyedepo, sadly, you stated your position on the nature of our anointment. Against, 2 Peter 2: 19, Pastor David Oyedepo, you brought in President Jonathan-a corrupt symbol of the negation of the Incorruptible Body of Christ and therefore of our anointment.

Pastor Oyedepo, you chose to abandon the divine roots of Christianity which is service to the poor, the vulnerable, the broken, the lonely and the socially ignored in favor of the artificially “mighty” and possessor of the transient and finite in our lives.

Pastor Oyedepo, against the voice of the lonely, the broken, the ignored, the economically and socially invisible due to poverty, you chose to align with the transiently “powerful” the finite, the mortal, due to the transient “power” of Oil money.

Pastor Oyedepo I put it to you, due to your worship at the altar of the transient, gold, silver and oil, you divided members of your church. It will take the restorative nature of the mercy of God to restore unity. This is why we must see the end and exit of corruption in our society and lives.

For our God gave us a commandment brought down by Moses form the divine Mount, which says “Thou Shall Have No Other god beside me”. Pastor, do you still remember this? When you bow before oil money as you do, you have created other gods.

When you divide members of your church through intimidation as you do, you have created other gods. When you secretly worship at the Mount of Corruption as you do, you have created other gods.

When you look at the poor straight in the face and you say, “I do not care… I care only about my oil and the money it festoons me with” you have created other gods.

But Pastor at this holy hour, just before the decision remember the voice of the poor from the Nigerian streets. At this hour, there are no Christians, there are no Muslims; there is no young there is no old, there is no literate and there is no illiterate, there is no south, there is no north, there is no west, there is no east; you only have the poor and the transiently “mighty” it is one body, one soul, one divine voice reminding you of the “poor” roots of our faith of Christianity in the Acts of the Apostles and commandment handed over to us from generation to generation saying and beckoning “Thou Shall Have no other god before me… Thou shall serve no other god beside me…” This is the word of our Lord.

Dear Bishop David Oyedepo I leave you to your Christian conscience and the loving and kind hand of our God of Change who is ceaselessly patient and kind and who will welcome us and you anytime we change and return to HIM.

Yours in Christ.

Bishop Oyedepo is free to support any candidate of his choice based on his own convictions just as u are also free to support and canvass support for your candidate.that he choose to support a particular candidate does not warrant trying to cast him in a bad light.more so,u are not the spokesperson to the poor and therefore not in a position to say if the present govt has neglected them.what I found in ur article is a politically motivated and biased write up calculated to shore up sympathy for ur prefered candidate.my advise to u is simple.don't hide under religiopus cloak, ur a pure politician with obvious bias opinion

PRESS CONFERENCE ON PROVOCATIVE STATEMENTS AND HATE SPEECHES MADE BY PASTOR BOSUN EMMANUEL AND BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO HELD AT THE NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS OF THE MUSLIM RIGHTS CONCERN (MURIC)  ON TUESDAY 3RDFEBRUARY, 2015

Distinguished Leaders of Islamic organizations,

Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

Gentlemen of the Press,

As-Salaam Alaykunm wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu.

We welcome you to this press briefing. The reason for inviting you today is the ongoing attempt to cause social commotion in our dear country, Nigeria, by whipping up religious sentiment using baseless, unfounded and unreliable allegations.

These despicable and disgraceful attempts are being championed by two Christian clerics, namely, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel and Bishop David Oyedepo.

Pastor Bosun Emmanuel belongs to the Redeemed Christian Church of God and he is a member of the executive of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). He represented CAN at the just concluded National Conference.

In a recorded and highly provocative message, Pastor Bosun Emmanuel made the following dangerous claims and Satanic assertions:

1.    That Muslims and Islam are a common enemy that needed to be defeated;

2.    That Muslims are killing Christians indiscriminately and destroying churches (he showed pictures and video clips);

3.    that the dreaded Boko Haram is an Islamic agenda aimed at wiping out the Christians in Nigeria.

4.    That the agenda to Islamise Nigeria was formulated at an OIC conference that held in Abuja in 1989;

5.    That Babangida who was the President of Nigeria at the time gave Muslims $21 billion to actualize the plan;

6.    that Nigerian Christians would be Islamised the same way the Christians of Turkey were Islamised through force;

7.    that APC is an Islamic agenda set up to Islamize Nigeria and that all the National leaders of APC are Muslims;

8.    that Nigerian Christians should not use their hands to destroy themselves by voting into power the party that is dedicated to Islamic agenda and finally

9.    that APC is the Nigerian version of the Islamic Brotherhood.

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) was more blunt in his hate speech and death-wish for Muslims. He exploded during one of his services inside his church and was quoted as saying:

1.  “God has anointed me to lead a revolution against Islamic jihadists,”

2.  “Spill the blood of every Islamic jihadist"

3.  “If you catch anyone that looks like them – kill him! Kill him and pull out his neck. I will spill his blood on the ground. What nonsense!”

4.  “Must the North continue to rule?”

5.  “If Nigeria waits for the church to rise, Nigeria will disappear as a nation.”

6.  “Lord, if it is Your will to break up Nigeria – break it now!”

We cannot but wonder how truly ‘Christian’ are Pastor Bosun Emmanuel and Bishop Oyedepo. How faithful are they to their holy book? The pulpit is a platform of love and kindness. It is the place for hope when all is lost. How can they use the same pulpit to incite Nigerians against themselves? How can they command the spilling of blood?

The Bible says, “Love your neighbour and bless those that curse you” (Luke 10:27) “Forgive, in order to be forgiven, for if you do not forgive those that offend you, neither will your father, which is in heaven, forgive you” (Mathew 6:14). Romans 12:17-21 warns against seeking vengeance while Mathew 26:52 further warns that those who take to the sword will perish by the sword.

A simple analysis of the above statements from the pulpits of two Christian clerics show that Pastor Bosun Emmanuel has willfully incited Nigerian Christians against their Muslim compatriots. He has also deliberately misled them into believing that Nigerian Muslims had plotted to exterminate the Christians.

Bishop David Oyedepo has also openly encouraged Christians to take the law into their hands and to spill the blood of Muslims. The phrase “anyone that looks like them” in his statement above is the most dangerous. No other interpretation can be more suitable for this phrase than “any Muslim you can find”.

This is very interesting. Bishop Oyedepo wishes to turn his followers into killers of Muslims. We are not losing the significance of this statement and its implications at a time like this. A pastor who is very close to the Nigerian Head of State, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, is calling on Christians to kill Muslims.

The same pastor has threatened to open the gates of hell for those opposing Jonathan! We wonder if Bishop Oyedepo has the key of the gate of hell in his breast pocket! That will be strange indeed! We thought the cleric should be more interested in the gate of heaven and how many souls he could lead through it.

Bishop Oyedepo exposed his hatred for Northerners when he asked rhetorically, “Must the North continue to rule?” This is a misleading rhetoric calculated to whip up ethnic sentiment. It is the last thing we expect from a cleric of his caliber.

Oyedepo has also boasted that Christians are capable of destroying Nigeria, a satanic mission which he has already embarked upon through these unguarded statements. By inviting God to break up Nigeria, Oyedepo has demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that all he wants now is for Nigeria to break up. He has placed a curse on his country, “Break it now!” He cried hysterically. This is treasonable. Bishop Oyedepo has failed to lead his followers responsibly.

We can imagine what would have happened if an Imam or Shaykh had uttered such treacherous statements. He would have been arrested instantly and taken to Abuja. Members of his family would not have had access to him or known his whereabouts for months, if not for years. This has been the fate of some Islamic scholars in Nigeria under President Jonathan.

We have every reason to quarry the role of the Nigerian security agencies in the present dispensation. Why do they employ double standard in the interpretation and application of the rules? Why do they always ignorethe agent provocateur among the Christian clerics while innocent Islamic scholars are arrested, dumped and forgotten in underground cells?

In this regard, we call the attention of President Jonathan to this dangerous trend going on under his very nose. The buck stops at Mr. President’s table. By the Grace of God, Jonathan is the chief security officer in this country, at least as at today. Nigerian Muslims demand an explanation from President Jonathan. The provocative statements have been recorded in audio and video clips and circulated wide. They have gone viral in social media. Mr. President, Sir, are you aware of the provocative statements made by these two Christian clerics? If so, what did you do about them?

Nigerian Muslims are not aware that you did anything about them so far. This means we are not safe. Mr. President we are not safe under you. You have failed to assert your authority and prove that you are the chief security officer in this land. How can you allow Christian leaders to threaten Muslims and yet you cannot caution them? Some of the incriminating statements were uttered about three months ago. There is no statement from Aso Rock up till now. It has been business as usual. We reject this lackadaisical approach to administration.

We therefore demand reassurance concerning our safety. We demand the immediate arrest of Pastor Bosun Emmanuel and Bishop David Oyedepo. These two fanatical Christian clerics must be arrested and cautioned. They must sign an undertaking wherein they will pledge to refrain from (and to keep their followers from) any act capable of disrupting law and order.

Anything short of this will mean that President Jonathan himself is the one pushing the war-mongering pastors to vilify and attack Muslims. We will then hold the president responsible for any religious commotion particularly in the South-West where it has never occurred before.

We appeal to the international community to take note of this ugly development in Nigeria where Christian clerics are metamorphosing into religious extremists and inciting their followers to pull out the necks of Muslims and spill their blood.

We call attention to some countries in Asia and Central Africa where Muslims are hounded and killed by mobs. The attendant humanitarian crisis often affect the whole world but worse still, it fuels more acts of terrorism.

MURIC charges other Christian leaders to speak out on this issue. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) should break its silence on the issue. It is our considered opinion that Pastor Bosun Emmanuel and Bishop Oyedepo do not necessarily speak for the generality of Christians nationwide because we know that patriotic and true followers of Jesus are greater in number than the blood-thirsty war-mongers.We jog the conscience of the peaceful Christian majority and ask them to speak out now.

We, the Nigerian Muslims, reiterate our condemnation of terrorism. We denounce attacks on

You are very stoopid for quoting me and thinking that I care about whatever thrash you have to say.

Christians are actually not meant to contest for political positions in governments. It is written in the Bible.

Show me where... And if you bring any argument that Christians should not be concerned about the affairs of this world, I'll negate it by saying that in a similar vein, Christians should never be lawyers, doctors, engineers, professors, architects ..because they are certainly affairs of this world. They should just be Christians. No more no less.

[size=18pt]@ Adeolu...

As a christian, I believe the power to judge is not in your hand. Our Bible made us to know, we should pray for our leaders like Jonathan. Who are you to judge Jonathan? Who are you to question Oyedepo? If you do read your Bible very well, you should have known that the best reaction to Oyedepo's and Jonathan's relationship with God is total silence and not to write unwarranted mail to Oyedepo.

1.    That Muslims and Islam are a common enemy that needed to be defeated;

2.    That Muslims are killing Christians indiscriminately and destroying churches (he showed pictures and video clips);

3.    that the dreaded Boko Haram is an Islamic agenda aimed at wiping out the Christians in Nigeria.

4.    That the agenda to Islamise Nigeria was formulated at an OIC conference that held in Abuja in 1989;

5.    That Babangida who was the President of Nigeria at the time gave Muslims $21 billion to actualize the plan;

6.    that Nigerian Christians would be Islamised the same way the Christians of Turkey were Islamised through force;

7.    that APC is an Islamic agenda set up to Islamize Nigeria and that all the National leaders of APC are Muslims;

8.    that Nigerian Christians should not use their hands to destroy themselves by voting into power the party that is dedicated to Islamic agenda and finally

9.    that APC is the Nigerian version of the Islamic Brotherhood.

It is Curse
Oyedepo can't curse nobody if he is truly a practicing Christian he is only condemned to bless. Only God can curse yet a Christian whose redemption from the curse cost God so much can't be cursed by any man
It is understandable if we are talking about Spell which is a stock in trade of the Occult and magicians regardless of the title they append to their names. Some use Prophets, Pastors, Bishop, Alpha or the traditional Babalawo, Guru, lord and the rests. The fruits they bear go before them
Who told u its only God dat can Curse some one? Its a lie Bro.Try and Read ur bible carefully.

AM I not just fed up with all these so-called open letters honestly? Abeg na who read everything? undecided
Christians are so gullible! Their gullibility paved way for their destruction in antioch, turkey, etc. Their gullibility may still destroy them in Nigeria. The foolish things of GOD is wiser than the wisdom of man [of which he (GOD) is not foolish]. Where have you ever seen an islamist support a christian? You guys should open your eyes o.
Indeed some so-called educated people would have their freedom snatched from them because of their so-called wisdom (which is FOOLISHNESS). GOD indeed uses fools(foolish things) to spite the wise (the so-called wisdom of men.)
Btw, are pastors not really supposed to interfere into politics? Who anointed Saul and David in the bible? Who was always advising David in the bible? I need answers. Thanks

†he moral of †he letter is †o maintain †he incorruptible body of christ, not †hat †he christian leaders should be shielding †he corrupt leaders. Though we don'† know nothing αbou† †heir conversation, I mean Jonathan and Oyedepo, Adeboye, he might have appologised and asked for forgiveness but can/have we masses forgiven/forgive him? For †he pains he inflicted on us. Jonathan is simply like Cain who has been cursed by God, he shall not find rest, he shall not find love before his people......

Before I, Joseph JoBabs can forgive Jonathan he has †o do †he needful, †hat is addressing †he public on how guilty he is on corruption, so †he Christian masses can forgive him. Cuz †his wasn'† Wђã† he promised †he masses, and †he Pastors have no authority/right †o forgive him for his attrocities he commited, he should be told †o go appologise †o †he affected Nigerians before †hey can suppor him simply with †heir votes. Cuz if na me go meet them say make them pray for me them go teLl me †o go do †he needful before †hey can pray for me, so †hey should be bold †o tell Jonathan †o do it. Believe me, should he win †hat election, †he corruption shall continue and would never end.
But Jonathan believe me, if u are reading †his or anyone close †o him is reading †his, Jonathan shall never find peace before God.

God Bless Nigeria....
