This might sound untrue but I swear down its real.. This is a problem am facing currently in my life.. At first I didn't give it much attention when my room mates were complaining about it.. I later got to notice it by myself..

Am so addicted to coke that I take up to 11 bottles of coke per day! Any time I feel thirsty I don't go for water, instead I go for coke because a bottle of coke to me is like a satchet if water, I can finish it on a spot within 10secs..
And as a medical student I know the implication of this act but I just find it extremely impossible to stop it. My health matters a lot and the future ( you know what am talking about here right??. Lol )

The problem is as far as am still walking on the earth surface I MUST TAKE UP TO 11BOTTLES OF COKE.. come to think of it, I don't take any other soft drink except this coke...

What or how do you think I can stop this rubbish...

I think u should be determined in ur mind that u actually want to stop d addiction.

**1st, just picture in ur mind what 11bottles of coke is like, : the sugar content.

**Then think about the adverse effect of too much sugar in ur system.

**Always go around with bottles of water so anytime u have the cravings for coke, u take the water.

** As a neutralizer, get bitter leave juice and drink every other day.

Diabetics is so real, u really have to determine in ur heart u want to quit. Cheers.

You are a Medical student. You should know the complications that follow such.

With the tight schedule of Medical school, where do you get the time to gulp 11 bottles? So you gulp 3 crates + in a week? Congrats.

Stopping such addiction bores down to discipline. As you stated on the main post, you have made up your mind that you must take 11 bottles of coke so far you are still 'walking on surface of earth'. Something must kill man na. If you no wan make coke kill you, change your orientation towards its consumption. Just discipline, no withdrawal symptoms.

At this rate of consumption, you don't need to bother about your health and future. Was consuming between 3-4 bottles and it almost killed me (ulcer join). You should know your prognosis.

I stopped coke and I'm now healed. A still take a bottle but not necessarily daily. Brace up Bro. You can do it.

Hi there, I'm glad you realize your habit isn't good for the body, that's the first step

The second step is attempting to wean yourself off of it, since you take 11 bottles of coke a day, you can use the x - 1 method. So basically reduce by one bottle and replenish with unsweetened home made juice. Please don't replenish with another sugary drink as we're attempting to cut down processed sugar here. Don't attempt water right away either, your body needs time to get used to accepting only water.

It'll be a gradual process so you need time and patience, your body is already used to the crazy amount of processed sugar you give it everyday, any drastic change will throw you back to square one.

You can make juice at home by juicing your favorite fruits and vegetables, add some fresh coconut water for a refreshing taste. You need to invest in a good juicer, check shoprite etc

You have to be determined to correctly wean yourself, watch motivational videos and read up on health blogs, magazines etc, you'll be done before you know it. Health is wealth, best of luck
