Following the meeting between INEC top brass and political party leaders todays, the INEC Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega is expected to address the Nigerian press this evening by 5pm. It is most likely that the prof. will announce possible shift of the dates of the general elections formerly sheduled to be held this month. At the meeting today, 16 political parties had voted for a shift in dates while 9 voted against, 2 were neutral while 1 was absent at the meeting. Source: Rhythm 93.7PH News |
