Former defense minister, General Danjuma yesterday listed reasons why Jonathan will lose the fast
approaching presidential election to opposition APC. The General
while speaking with journalists said Jonathan is rewarding crime
and encouraging more people to go into it. He said the recent
statements credited to former militants that they will wage war
against Nigeria should the President lose shows that Nigeria is
being run by an incompetent person. Danjuma is surprised at why the
DSS is yet to arrest these disgruntled elements but quick to
vandalize the opposition office for no just cause.

Danjuma further said another reason why Jonathan stands no chance
in the

in the forth coming election is his handling of the South West
region of the

country. Danjuma said the Yorubas are intelligent people and you
don't use and dump them and that is exactly what the President
did. The Yorubas voted for him overwhelmingly but the President
paid them back with neglect. Instead the President is busy
promoting criminals in their region. Look at Buruji a drug baron,
Fayose and one Omisore who are criminals. These people are being
promoted over the Yoruba intelligentsia. All these will not make
them trust him any more. I see him loosing this election massively

T.Y Danjuma to Construct N500 Million Bridge in Taraba

Former Minister of Defence, Lt. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, has signed a N500 million contract for the construction of three narrow mini bridges linking the Army Barracks, Takum Taraba State with Katsina-Ala, Benue State.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony yesterday in Takum, Danjuma assured the people of the local government that he would continue to embark on meaningful projects.

General Danjuma, who was represented by the former minister of water resources, Obadiah Ando, said the contractor, MNC Mayar Company Nigeria Limited, has been mobilized and that work is expected to commence immediately.

"Last year when General T.Y Danjuma came home, he passed through the road and when he saw how bad it was, he asked me to look for contractors to fix the road. Though many quotations were submitted, we signed the contract with MNC Mayar Nigeria Limited," Ando said.

He noted that the bridges linking Takum in Taraba State with Katsina Ala in Benue State had been abandoned for decades, urging people in the area to cooperate with the contractor handling the project to enable deliver quality job.

Representative of the Taraba acting governor, Barrister Musa Tende, described Gen. Danjuma as a beacon of hope for people of the state, adding that his philanthropic nature has endeared him to millions of people not only in the state but across the country.

He added that the government would continue to support any program that would bring development to the state.

On his part, the Managing Director of MNC Mayar, Engr. Raouf Makhaul, said the company would execute the project according to contract specification.

If you check very well I said industry or factory. Going by the sum of the contract N500m can not build a standard 1km of road neither can it build a bridge but culvert.
That is the type of investment that Danjuma gives his people a road that he will drive his convoy of car to his village.

Danjuma is just afraid of losing his oil licence which is due for renewal next year.

Like Dangote has been hated on by the people of Kano, but a business is not a charity and it's location must be determined by economic logic not sentiment.
Danjuma is not a business neophyte, and if the contract has been negotiated at that price, he is sure it is value for money. It is not a government contract with extraneous matters built in. If you have evidence to the contrary, please provide it.
