Hi guy, I want to start learning how to build android apps and so came across the Android Studio software by google. I have no knowledge of coding and I don't have any experience in programming. I was thinking this software could help a guy like me build apps on the ideas I have in my head presently. So, I would like to find out the limitations of this software in building an app that can be used to get infos on say secondary schools around my area. Is this possible with this software or are there other drag and drop software out there that will do the job. Thanks a lot.

2 me Android Studio is like the more specialized version of Eclipse. Have u used Eclipse? With Eclipse (and adding plugins) u can build Java, Android, BlackBerry, J2ME, Nokia, iOS (using a cross-platform), C, C++, Python, Ruby, Perl and so on.

With Android Studio (and a good few plugins) you should be able to do the same. Its just that it will be a little bit harder, since Android Studio was specific built for Android. But with some workarounds, hackings here n there and good plugins, you should be able to build any type app or software. Even web apps.

I think that is where Android Studio got Eclipse beat. You can still check it out.

first: the app u stated u wana design is one of many more things u can build with d android studio so u ar in d right space.

second: u dont av to be a bada$$ programmer b4 u can develop android app. all u need is the basic concept of OOP and som blazing passion to learn. oh nd dedication as u might feel lik just dropping d tin somtimz. u shuld read a "little" about xml if u soo av d time (not necessarily ).

third: d guys ar right u'll need more dan just drag nd drop dis time as d drag nd drop creates d xml code ( call it fragments or views if u want) for u but u'll av to link dem up with the main java class for functionality and manipulations as needed. else u ar designing a toy gun bro.

i think we all shuld get our minds off d thought of creating applications without actually coding. well bank phb sha
