Good day nairalanders. Please help on how to make kunu. I love cold kunu especially on hot, sunny days and I had this customer that always supplied them to me until recently when I visited her for some reasons. I decided there and then that I have to learn how to make it at home for sake of hygiene. Please help if u have any idea. Thanks in advance.

get ur desired quantity of guinea corn, dried sweet potatoes, dried spices(ginger n some called kanampari n musoro..dnt knw the names in english) Next u wash n soak the guinea corn, pound the potatoes and spices and soak them in a different container from the guinea corn. Then take it to get grounded tell them its kunu they'll know how to do it. When it gets grounded, put a pot and boil ur desired quantity of water. When the water boils hot pour the grounded guinea corn paste in a big bowl and mix it with some cold water so it wont be too thick. Then pour the hot water and mix till the mixture is thick and evenly mixed then pour in the grounded potatoe and spice mixture and mix it well. Next take some very hot coals and throw in that mixture and live it over night. The next morning, remove the coals and filter the mixture and add your sugar. Chill and enjoy.

if u do ur research, apparently there are natural preservatives u can use to make it retain its real taste. Its just so pathetic dat our govt even does not fund research, instead they undermine it if it will affect their biz. Late last year, i went to ogun state, i saw a place in a small isolated town where sickle cell anaemia is been cured. I was shocked. Our govt will neva assist or fund dat local doctor using herbs to do great tins
