Nigerians should learn to be more appreciative rather than complaining about the bad leaders and condemning the good ones.
Is there any one of you who can boldly name a governor of Lagos that has in recent times done better than Fashola. If you can name any, then you are probably a sadist or you have been feeding from the pockets of some people.
We have not since the new millennium seen a governor who has paid so much attention to the well being of the people in the Lagos metropolis. If you still insist that Fashola has not done anything for the state, go and see sango otta for a reason to say thank you to our governor.
He has initiated the tree planting project and this can help our air quality because plants take in carbon dioxide and give us oxygen which we breathe. One need not be told that carbon dioxide is one of the major causes of global warming in the world today which can in turn shorten life span of people.
How many governors have cared enough to make pedestrian bridges as beautiful as they look now?
He may be demolishing Oshodi now, but if we are reasonable, we will see that it is for the best. If you have ever been stranded in the traffic jam at oshodi you will appreciate his move. If you have ever been terribly insulted by the market women in oshodi for mistakenly dropping their wares in a very tight road, you will be grateful to him.
If you can remember any governor who would rather celebarte his birthday with the homeless children, than in the class of the POWERS THAT BE then don’t value Fashola.
I could go on, but I want us to search our conscience and be true to our selves, before we start condemning him, lets do our findings on the Oshodi issue and we will find that an alternative trading space is being created at Ilasa for the traders who cannot afford the complex.
Pls lets try our best to call a spade a spade and encourage the hard working. He may not be perfect, but he is trying his best, so please let us COMMEND RATHER THAN CONDEMN this man who deserves our encouragement. Thank YOU ALL.

My problem with what happened in Lagos is that the government act without planning. He shouldnt have demolished the place without providing alternative first, ask them to move, and when they refuse you demolished. This what we call lack of human feelings. He has destroyed the lives of so many Nigerians without thinking. His intentions might be good, but not done the right way. Therefore people should criticize him so that next time he will do it the right way. That is what democracy is all about. If In his own world the govenor said:

He should have waited untill he finnish his design and costing, the right place b4 demolishing it. A government is suppose to be a provider not a destroyer. Govt is suppose to give job to people to make people jobless. Government is suppose to eradicate poverty not make people poorer overnight.

Lagos have always been producing good governors all of who left their footprint in the sand of time.

Fashola is like a builder who was handed the task to complete a project that had been conceived and started by others. He have been given the plan. All he has to do is to complete it.

Lateef Jakande build the foundation of modern Lagos. Fashola is only building on that foundation. While the military plunged lagos into state of neglect, it was Bola Tinubu that re-start what Jakande left and began putting things on track. BRT, metroline were original conception of Lateef Jakande. But it was Tinubu that started the project. The Central Busines District plan had been laid and execution began During Tinubu. Road construction revolution was start when Rauf Aregbesola was the commisioner of works. Those of us who are observant know that Tinubu won accolade for that feat. Go to Alausa, and you will be informed better. Tinubu also up the IGR of lagos to this level when Obj withdrew Local govt allocation. He was slowed down as a result of FG witholding LG allocation.

My friend, if you want to praise a talking dog, you should remember to praise it trainer! Without Jakande, Tinubu having set the development plan in motion, Fashola would still be drafting plan for his projects by now.

Govt is not meant for an individual, it is a combination of effort of many people. Fashola have tried, and is trying. But the credit does not belong to him alone, it belong to every action governor that have contributed to Lagos dream.

Ironically, all these Lagos governors are not from ruling party. It thus put a question mark on the claim of some dimwit politicians who think electing the party that rule at the Federal level will help develop their states. We all know the outcome.
