Bloggers: Please Stop Posting False Content To The Public by gonaij: 11:53pm On Mar 06, 2015 |
On the 4th and 5th day of March, 2015, marks the Workshop for Nigerian Bloggers and Social Medias Workshop which was setup to train blogger and social media of Nigerian on the Ethics and Conflict sensitivity in online content. During the Programme, it was made clear and corrected that the online content is one of the major conflict sensitivity from the writter to the persons' being referred to, also, it was made clear that before any content should be on a blog/ social media, the persons' being referred to should be informed, either by call, message or mail, so as to avoid conflict after such content is being posted on the social media. Also, If any content is copied from a website or any Social Media, Credit should be written on where the information is coming from. It was also made clear that because of blogger to get much views in their content, the exaggerate the hapenning, inorder to get lot of traffic, for example, if there is a bomb blast of 10 people, the bloggers/social media experts write about 100 people, so it can impress people to read their content, this act might be working for you somedays, but after a while, once people know that your content is always not accurate/ fake, they ignore your blog once they see a post from it. 1 Like |

also, before any blogger could post about something, it better he/she get evidences, confirmation and approval of the topic, to make sure he / she is not posting a false information, which might end up misleading the public 1 Like |
