The Nigerian Women Association in Georgia Scholarship is now open for women only to apply for the NWAG Scholarship 2015 programme. The undergraduate scholarship programme is mainly focused on women in Nigeria in any of the Nigerian Universities.

About 37 successful winners were selected from each state including the Federal Capital Territory (F.C.T) Nigeria each year.

This is an opportunity for young Nigerian girls to become among the 37 girls that will be beneficiaries of the NWAG Scholarship 2015 edition, the undergraduate scholarship worth N50, 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira Only) in a one time payment to assist in their expenses in school.

NWAG Scholarship 2015 Application Requirements

To register and be considered for this award, interested female students are to provide the following documents targeted at confirming their identity and origin.

Proof of State of Origin – Letter of Origination from the university or a letter from your local government office.

Two Letters of Recommendation from any two of the following: Church Pastor/Mosque Imam, Village Head.

Local Government Chairperson or one of your Lecturers.

One Letter of Recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty/ School or your Head of Department.

Photocopy of your current university student identification card

A current photograph of yourself

An explanation of why you need and should receive the scholarship (not more than one-half typed double spaced page).

A type-written, double –spaced, two-page essay on:

“What are the effects of the frequent Nigerian Teachers’ strikes on student academic performance and learning?”

How To Apply & Deadline

All application and submission of essays are online (by email). All completed applications must reach the decision desk of NWAG on or before May 15, 2015. Note that incomplete applications will not be considered. Again, all submissions must be in PDF.
