To put this robbery incident in perspective, let's hope the billionaires and politicians in Lekki and it environs pause for a minute and reflect on how their theft of the nations resources is causing thousands of Nigerians - especially in the North East, to experience daily, what they just experienced today.

We should be a bit fair to them. No matter what, they risk their lives to stay on the line of fire. Any corruption you see in the Police is a result of our rotten society and rottenness in government.

Exactly around 4:52pm on today I heard gunshots along Admiralty way, Lekki phase 1, Lagos as suspected armed robbers are attacking one of the banks along the street.

Everyone around had to run for their lives as no one knows where the bullets are will land. Even the Lekki Ikoyi Toll gate was on a stop.

Watching from my rooftop, I saw people coming out of their vehicles by the toll gate and are running for their lives. The shooting lasted for about 20mins. All I hear now is police sirens everywhere around.

If you're coming to this axis kindly turn back for now! It's not secure at the moment. Cheers!

I won't be suprised if the robbers are graduates as the attack seemed well co-ordinated. Good timing....on point.....casualties were the PoPos...route of entry was brilliant...escape was perfect...outfit splendid. Plus they could get into ATMs.....they are likely graduates. Lekki Phase One is becoming a beehive center with so many entertainment spots left and right. Mansions being converted into business plazas etc ...celebrities renting and 'owning' virtual houses, flaunting wealth etc here in Lekki. Any surprise what happened today? The serenity of the whole area has now been severely abused.

Btw ...there is a standby police post at the Lekki Phase One gate with an armored van parked there wonder why no response from them .... I guess they were busy with the usually N20 they collect from drivers.

Makes me wonder ...just some blocks away are MoPol officers at the CBC Towers as well as at the entrance to the link bridge ...why no response? Leaves much to imagine. I guess Uncle Mbu will now start avenging with the 'Kill One Police Man .....Twenty Civilians' formular
