The United States Secret Service has said a conceivable 'cyanide letter' was sent to the White House, BBC reports.

Mystery Service says it is leading further tests on the envelope which was presented on the White House as tests at a post screening office were found to have hints of the toxic substance.

Beginning tests on Monday were negative however more tests on Tuesday gave back a "possible positive" for cyanide.

A law implementation said there were no wounds or presentation attentiveness toward the screening office representative who initially opened the letter.
