I am a close personal assistant to one of the popular politicians in this country. I have been working with him for more than a decade. We have been through the thick and thin, good, ugly and bad together. What am doing right now looks like a betrayal. Of recent, we had to hire some thugs to disrupt one rally like that. During the process, two lives were lost. They weren't instructed to kill. Just to disrupt. I was the one specifically assigned to hire them. Even though no arrest has been made. But I feel like the blood of the dead people is on my head. It's not like I do have nightmares or something, but my conscience is not just at rest. I've kept this secret and many others to myself, and it seems I'll lose my mind if I don't let them out. I am at a crossroad; I can lose my political appointment and career if I start opening all the cans of worms, or if I keep mute and stay loyal, I'll continue to move up high in the hierarchy.
